Have always found this line of thinking particularly repugnant.

He has a child with special needs, so therefore he should, what, understand or empathise more than the average person with any marginalised/stigmatised/discriminated against minority that anyone cares to name? Is that how it's supposed to work? Utterly bizarre logic.

Though you may deny it, this essentially equates anyone having a disability as suffering the same struggles in society as a trans person. It is not the same.

Quote from: DaleCooper on September 03, 2025, 05:35:30 PMIf you believe in women's rights/ gay rights but not trans rights you are a confused person.

This is also daft. Who decides what Trans rights are? I believe trans people should have the same rights as anyone else. They shouldn't be discriminated against at all when it comes to education, healthcare, employment, whatever. You name it.

Should someone with a c**k just be allowed to march into a women's bathroom or changing room because loud and boring twats like Owen Jones say they should? Whether the answer is yes or no isn't even the point. It's the suggestion that this is or should be a "right" that is maddening.

Trans is a culture war. Every culture war has 2 sides. A reality side and a bullshit side. Trans has women versus trans. Guess which side is bullshit.

Graham wants to go back to the old days, before London flew the flags of progress on Regent Street.

Its all social engineering and has made society more healthy and strong than ever before.

The statement of a confused person.

Linehan suing the MET police after his incident, he is being supported by the free speech union according to an article in the UK Times.

Was he having a discussion with someone or was it ; this my opinion and I just have to tell the world.

And it rumbles on.
I have more respect for a man
that says what he means and
means what he says...

Only suing them so he can get back to posting on Twitter. The last couple of days must have been torture for him.

I am not saying they are the same. But what they both have is their struggles in society.

Not in the slightest bit confused. The logical thread runs through it all. A predictable playbook.

"The ideas of the ruling class are in every epoch the ruling ideas."
— Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, The German Ideology (1845)

The current western ruling elite are depraved, and current society reflects that spirit.

Graham Linehan has been told he faces no further action after his arrest for gender-critical comments.

The 57-year-old Father Ted creator was arrested at Heathrow in September by five armed officers and questioned on suspicion of a public order offence tied to gender-critical remarks he made online.
This decision means that no charges will be brought against Graham Linehan in relation to this allegation. Please note that this decision may be reconsidered if further evidence or information comes to light."

Last week, Westminster Magistrates Court ordered that all of Mr Linehan's bail conditions be dropped after an application by Free Speech Union (FSU) lawyers.

District Judge Snow ruled that the conditions were too vague and ordered that they were immediately lifted.

Mr Linehan welcomed the Met decision but said he still intended to take legal action and sue the Metropolitan Police for wrongful arrest and interference with his free speech rights.

Britain's biggest police force has announced it will no longer investigate non-crime hate incidents.
The Metropolitan Police said it hoped the move would provide a "clearer direction for officers", allowing them to focus on criminal investigations.
The force said incidents would still be recorded for intelligence purposes but officers would not get involved in "policing toxic culture war debates".

Is common sense about to become more common?

It wont in ireland.

Common sense is to stop getting annoyed about it, its not actually your problem really and the 0.001 percent of incidents that have happened have been multiplied by 100 million to make things look a lot worse.

Those that have exploited it (sport, sexual) for their own gain have in the past and will continue in the future to do things like that..

Who actually cares if someone identifies as whatever? Let them and move on
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.
