Glen - Warnock & Dougan if you can get them
Serious lack of scoring forwards in the county. Also would love to know who these great hidden gems are playing Junior & Intermediate

I don't think we're unique on that front.
A decade or more of focus being on defensive football from clubs to county doesn't foster the development of attacking players.
I think we are missing some real size and strength in that FF area. Are there any "big" men in the county who could be shaped into a forward? Attacking midfielders for example, might give mobility and size in there. Murray has a bit of size and strength about him, but I think we need something a bit different up front - might not score a lot, but might be that player who wins marks and does the donkey work.

Dan Higgins would add a bit of power and he could play in the half forward line. His brother Conall is a class forward but probably needs a couple of years before stepping up to county. Oisin Doherty from newbridge could make the step up to senior county next year, he looks like he could add to the panel.

McGill gonna be a good player, he's got the size.Derry gonna have to beef up this year with a few bigger players. The game been forced to go long, and we outsized  by Donegal, Armagh, Galway, Kerry and likely Tyrone as well. Only stand out forward coming is Higgins of Magherafelt and he about 3/4yrs away.

Stating the obvious, but we need a manager in place before anything happens!

Enda McGinley for the Derry job? Was it mentioned that they had their man but he was still involved with his club in championship a while back?

Hard to see past Slaughtneil in the hurling today.

Think Ballinderry and Glen will both have just a bit too much in the Intermediate and Senior finals.

Best of luck to Craigbane who play in the preliminary round of Ulster today too.

Going by his tenure at Swatragh and Antrim, I dare say he's not the man for the job.

On the presumption that Poacher is going to Leitrim does that mean Derry are the only county in Ireland who currently do not have a football manager?

Wildweasel74

I think Derry have a man but are holding bck releasing it until the Club he managing is out.
