Meath CB have said they are to fixture conjested for a replay and some lads are heading away so this could drag on to next year

Woody asked the linesman to address the scoreboard because he noticed they didn't get a point
I don't think he realised they gave Meath the score but him and gary o kane appealed more than once to the officials in the side  that the scoreboard was wrong

I wasnt that far away then  ;D

You were even closer than you thought - looks like its this Saturday (11th June) at 7pm!

Confusion over the date of the replay is sort of apt in all the circumstances here! ::)

Just took a look at the @MeathGAA twitter feed. They look as if they haven't got the point yet  ::)

Going to be a real case of deja vu,if Meath actually win this time and go up to collect the trophy.

And bad sports to boot. Like I said before, there is some great Karma being served here.

Has anyone from the Meath management team accepted that they didn't win and the scores were wrong??

Think they're arguing that they scored a legitimate point but it was ruled wide.Having a Board Meeting. What happens if they don't field and hold on to the trophy?

There won't be a match by the looks of it. From reading that link from Itchy I think they'd rather forfeit and pretend in their heads they've won it than a a replay and get beaten.

My understanding of Hawkeye is that while umpires and ref can call for it 'officially' if they are unclear as to a score or wide, the Hawkeye officials are always watching every score, and if a score is flagged incorrectly, they will buzz down regardless of whether they are called or not. This would make the Meath query about their point, and why hawkeye wasn't called for, irrelevant.

What happens if Referee seeks Hawk-Eye review of an Umpire decision?

Where Umpire makes an incorrect decision regarding a 'point' or 'wide': Umpire makes incorrect decision (i.e. 'point' or 'wide')
- Review Official communicates to Referee that a Hawk-Eye review is necessary
- Referee makes a 'box' signal with his hands to seek Hawk-Eye review
- The Hawk-Eye replay is shown on the Big Screen
- Referee confirms Hawk-Eye decision and makes the appropriate decision. Umpire signals that decision.

Regardless of that has the Meath management at least understood that the score was wrong?? At halftime and at the end, there is always one mentor that comes over to ask the score, even though he has it written down!! Meath would have had that person
