Is there any point in even playing this?

The mighty Rossies are going to top the division.

End of.

Sure, we may as well just give them the Div 1 league trophy now, and stop all the messin'

The Dubs and Donegal will just have to settle for finishing 2nd and 3rd.

Discuss.

Donegal just want to avoid relegation right now

Think it would take a rather cataclysmic chain of events, for Donegal to get relegated. Mathematically it can still happen, but it's unlikely.

J70

Not really. We have 6 points and two tough away games to finish. Mayo have Down, which is, presumably, a gimme. Beat them and Ros and you could have Mayo and Donegal on 6 points. Cork and Monaghan could end up on 6 too.

Beffs

Yep. A lot of things "could" happen, but I don't think they will. My money is on Monaghan to join Down for the drop. They had the harder road to travel, with games against both Kerry and Donegal.

Donegal's score difference is +19 while Cork and Mayo's is -16 which with only 2 rounds left is pretty much worth an extra point for Donegal.
Donegal have wins over Cork and Mayo if it ends up with just 2 teams on 6 points they are fine with the head-to-head.

The Roscommon Bus is going to do a couple of laps of the pitch blaring "Don't stop believin".
If you were any use you'd be playing.

There has been a few team buses over the years, that couldn't clear the roof overhang of the tunnels in Croke Park. So the players had to get out and walk. I'd say there'll be a few red faces all around, if the Rossie bus is too big for its britches, so to speak.  ;D

Does it drive down on the day of the game?
It would make sense to let it sleep in its own garage.
