*Edit - sound quality is iffy, but it's grand for the kids and I presume I could improve it if I needed.

When you say sound quality is iffy, what are you using for it, built in speakers?!

If looking to do a home cinema type experience, get a 4K projector and some proper speakers.

Yes just the inbuilt speakers, I might get some proper speakers to guarantee better sound.  Occasionally it plays quite low and I can't really find any rhyme nor reason for that.

Can't expect much in the way of sound quality from the speakers on a 50 quid projector tbh.

My PL-tv  has expired and as mentioned a while back the lad isn't on telegram anymore. Have any of you got in touch with him or is it time to go somewhere else. Any suggestions?

I'm up for renewable and my provider is also pulling the plug. Are Firestick providers still a viable option (with VPN) as there seem to be a good few providers removing their service? Or is there a better alternative?

I don't know of any specialist firestick providers but the reliable provider I use has a separate portal for UK residents. I would have to first ask if they are taking on new UK subs. plus I would have to (in a way) say that you're ok, you know - vouch for you.

Hes still on telegram. I renewed a couple of weeks ago. Try going in to your old messages and you might get him.

He deleted his old account so you lose the messages. I lost username and password as a result. Was given another contact for him and his response was "should have written them down or taken a screenshot". He's an ignorant gobshite!

Are all the IPTV providers in trouble?
I had just paid up for another year when my account stopped working.
My provider has gone to ground, so I'm assuming I've been scammed.

Since it's a shady area, I can only complain so much.

I think they will be a thing of the past in a few years time. Its the same with music piracy in the 90s and movie piracy in the 00s. It always loses in the long run.

imtommygunn

Music piracy would be much bigger but for the likes of spotify etc which aren't, in the grand scheme of things, that dear though.

Piracy changed the way music and movies were sold. Hard to justify not being able to afford a fiver or a tenner a month for a streaming service that works very well (Spotify, Netflix, Disney+ etc). I can see the same happening with sports. NBA and maybe NFL(?) do streaming packages where you buy your teams games for the year. I could see that becoming the norm once Sky eventually get outbid.

What is the alternative to IPTV do you think?

Subscription streaming service at a reasonable price, and the ability to only have to pay for your team or sports streams. Having to pay Sky for rugby, golf, darts and horse racing when all you want is football isn't an ideal system.

It is if you own/run Sky TV. It's going to be very hard to get away from them with the money they currently put into the premier league.

If you stop paying Sky Q will the dish and cable get you unencrypted channels on a satellite tuned TV?
You have to return the Box to Sky.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.
