The odds are stacked (no pun intended) against us here but like in the rugby on Saturday points difference could play a major role if 3 teams finish level. Monaghan should be reasonably confident however after winning two Ulster derbies albeit not in the most exciting of manners. If they set up the defensive screen(s) again will Kerry find ways through?

Should be an interesting game. Monaghan have been going well and Kerry, apart from the blip in Cork, are doing ok also.

To answer the OP question..Kerry won't have a problem playing against a defensive system..as events of the last year have surely shown!

Wonder if Cooper might make an appearance for this. Was on the subs bench for a club game at the weekend and played in a challenge game last week.

McManus played the full match versus Derry so if he's getting some sort of fitness back it will be a big boost.

Key question is probably how defensive Monaghan will be?

I think a rating scale of blanket defensiveness is urgently needed as it seems that pretty much any time any team defends at all commentators seem to immediately go from "team defending" to "blanket defense".

For Monaghan especially given the way the league stadings are, keeping the score difference down if they lose could be very important so I would expect them to be fairly defensive.

Indeed'n you're right Charlie; subject line duly updated. I added all dates to my calendar back a few months ago when they were released but see that the time has been update on the main fixture page now: http://www.gaa.ie/fixtures-and-results/national-fixtures/allianz-football-league/

Not gonna make the trip unfortunately and would have loved to.. I know a few different lads who are going so I'd expect a good travelling support.

I'm saving myself for the Dubs in my home town on Easter Sunday..

Wouldn't be too familiar with that Kerry full back line. Can they be got at?

Dont know much on Kilkenny, but Griffin is a big traditional type of full-back. Enright I think can blow hot or cold, has been around the squad for a good while. I think the Monaghan full-forward line might be relying on limited enough supply of ball as I can see Kerry cutting a lot of ball out the field with their midfield of Moran, Maher and Buckley.

Short kick outs and run it out of defense me reckons!

Be avoiding kick outs down the middle anyways if possible.
