ONeill

Not many of these lads in teams.

If you squint you can see Lar and Hardy (sounds like an idea for a show) in the crowd:

No prince of corner-backs, Lar? Harry Keegan really deserves more recognition than he gets nationally.

And don't be moving poor Dermot around to accommodate those Kerry yokes!

Must be Dermot Jnr as Lars unlikely to name a rossie on his side. Lars would also be old enough to remember Gerry O'Malley.
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Surprised to see so much of Martin O'Connell in the backs and so little of Brian McGuigan in the forwards.
Maybe I'm over-rating McGuigan but I don't think so. In 2005 he was as close to perfection as it gets for a centre forward.

Sure you could make a case for McGuigan's da.

Have had this discussion a few times and changed 1 or 2 here and there. This is off the top of m head but apart from trying to squeeze Mickey Linden and Niall Buckley (2 of my favourite players) in, don't think I've forgotten anyone. By the way, picking from 1990 to present day pretty much.

I don't think Ricey should be on the team or anywhere near it. Jordan and Gormley were better defenders. When Ricey was getting it tough over the years Harte would switch Gormley to him. He was sent from pillar to post to mark the oppositions best forward which often meant he wasn't as good as he was. I would rate Jordan ahead of de Paor, Paul Curran and not far behind the Pony to be fair. He was some baller

Each to their own but in that glory period for Tyrone, Jordan contributed consistently more than anyone else in the Tyrone team. He was my favorite player during that time and one of the best half backs I've ever had the pleasure of watching. Consistently excellent.

Once you have agreed on the definitive fuball team can you have a think about inventing a perpetual motion machine ?
