Slow day in work so with the Gooch out I got around to thinking about the best players I've seen and putting them in a team.
Only considered players from the time I've been old enough to have some understanding of what I'm watching so my team covers 1991 to 2014.
Anyway here she is I'd love to see others, particularly from older posters with more years to cover.
It's got a wing back playing corner back, a centre back playing wing back, three centre forwards and two full forwards. But it's my team. Feck off and get your own.

I think the only reason I left Marc O'Se out was because I didn't want to have three of them!

Well I had Gooch, Matt Connor and Mikey Sheehy instead of Canavan and I don't think anyone could accuse that of trolling.
Obviously some people think Canavan was better than them but surely nobody could think he was so far better than Gooch, Connor and Sheehy that it's trolling not to include him?
I reckon most people would admit there's very thin lines in a lot of their picks e.g. I could easily have Egan, Joyce, Canavan instead of Gooch, Connor, Sheehy or D O Se and A Tohill instead of J O Shea and B Mullins.

+1 would be quite easy to pick another team of equal quality...it's just the mood you're in at a particular moment in time. Bit like your favourite movies or music.

I agree that Fay and Lyons were better fullbacks but Moynihan was excellent in all the spots he played in defense, cornerback, fullback, wingback and centreback.
Moynihan was the only one of the 3 to win player of the year from Fullback and in fact was the only fullback player of the year since John O'Keeffe in '75.
