That's a bit of a shocker. Follow him on Instagram. He had a story up yesterday building Lego with his young son. Only 40. Suspected heart attack.
Seemed like a right fella and from the social media posts was well liked within his strongman community. The heart must take some strain in that game.

The covid lads will be out in force
Aye was reading a load of posts about it under his death notice. The combination of steroids and the covid vaccine left his heart with no chance.

Most of those guys actively/publicly would have not taken the vaccine in the first place!
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

While Ireland's oldest man seems to die frequently, Josef Veselsky was a Holocaust survivor and TCD's oldest student.

I had the pleasure of working briefly with Joe a long time ago. I wish I knew his history back in 1988.

A real gentleman.

That's sad to hear. Saw him walking the streets not that long ago. What an ambassador for hurling in Armagh.

Last Man

Mattie played on the Derrynoose team along side 2 or 3 of his sons in an Ulster JHC match at Casement park in 2012. A real dynamo of a man, RIP Mattie.

Orior

Amazing how, with his bouncy stride, he seemed to leap across the playing pitch. A joy to watch. RIP

Saw him just two years ago in concert. Was still singing and playing guitar brilliantly.

Main Street

Grateful Dead founding member Bob Wier who famously dedicated "He's Gone" to Bobby Sands  in concert Nassau Coliseum 06/05/81  who had just died on hunger strike. That was about the only overt political statement  made by any member of the "Dead" on stage in their long and prolific life as the best Rock band ever.

The concert was recorded on the exclusive Dick's Picks recordings , Dick's Picks 13

Actor Derek Martin, 92

Known for playing  Charlie Slater in EastEnders.  Kat and Little Mo's Da (who was Big Mo then?)

gallsman

No, Big Mo was Charlie's mother in law. She was Harris I think, not Slater. Played by Laila Morse who is Gary Oldman's sister.

Wouldn't have figured he was that old.
