There's a couple of counties that the GAA need to get strict with alright. Both are the topic of this thread.
We'll never see the day when that happens though. As Peter Quinn once said 'Dublin is not a national problem, it's a national opportunity.'

You're just trolling now Heffo, sticking that link on a match thread. Be careful or you'll bring Don't Matter back.

I certainly don't want to bring that gobshi*e back, I was just wondering if either Gavin or McGeeney were one of the gang of four

The gang of 4. Hanging out, talkin bout hairdos and hairdonts. What slick set of wheels they spin in currently. They got all the lowdown on the latest expenses. These cool cats know what's hip. New rad cone formations, the latest techniques in sledging. Cool breeze.

Just back on the McQuillan thing, does anyone think it's weird that he referees so many Dublin games? He reffed four of their championship games and the league final in 2011, for example. Not saying it's a conspiracy or anything, but surely it's ferociously bad planning?

Wonder will there be much changes to the Kildare team from the Offaly game.

I like the look of Dowling - does he offer a bit more than O'Connor? Don't know if O'Connor's able to manoeuvre himself into scoring situations sometimes. He wins a lot of ball and maybe a more agile forward might be able to hook over a few handy ones form close in or get away with a "snap shot". Dowling is a big lad but looked agile enough for the u21s. Those kind

Also would prefer to Leper in the half-forward line running at defenders rather than centre-back. I think he might be a bit vulnerable here - wouldn't like to see him play bad because he's a fantastic footballer. Is Peter Kelly an option at centre-back? McGeeney is trying half-forwards here, why doesn't he try some of the defenders?

Kelly did play at centre back against Offaly. Leper wore the number 6 but played at wing back. He played most of his football in the backs when he first broke onto the Kildare team about ten years ago so it's not a position that's alien to him.
There's Seán Brady going in, what dya think Seán?

About time this made its way to YouTube, our last championship victory over the Dubs, three narrow losses since.

Never heard that half-time "analysis" before, how does that man Spillane still have a job, would have loved to hear his comments post-game.

Actually listened to that match in an Internet Cafe in Genoa, nearly put the table and the computer through the roof when the second goal went in...had a limp for about a week..

Whoever posted that video has put up a stack of old Kildare games and ruined my chances of getting any work done. What strikes me is the stuff you forget, like Padraig Brennan's lovely two dummies and pass for Dermot's goal.

My memory of that game was that Dublin were brilliant in the first half. 11 points in one half is good going, I think I remember Collie Moran getting a fantastic score.

The goals were a body blow. To have completely dominated a game and to be only level was a sickner, and to concede two goals in a minute is always hard to get back from.

The remaining 34 minutes of the game was fairly rubbish as far as I remember. Kildare outscored the Dubs by 5 points to 1, but there must have been a good 20 minute period when Dublin were 1 or 2 points down and neither team could score, but the Dubs just disintegrated.
