Wouldn't care if we had to play Donegal in the Leinster final. Just getting there would be bliss.

Fuzzman

Would ye be happy to take Donegal into the Leinster c-ship next season.
We'd be more than happy to let ye have them and then we wouldn't need a preliminary round any more
It would make Leinster more competitive and get the Dubs better prepared for the 1/4 finals each year.

Who's this wildcard Kildare are after pulling out of a hat?

I know when the Dublin Mgt heard late last week they were building a file on him..

There is rumours but all smoke and mirrors. Hurley is the only one but he's be well known to the Dubs at underage level.

I did see Niall Buckley in Newbridge a couple of weeks ago. Nuxer is only turning 40 this year..

I heard big Willie Heff is making a comeback.

I also heard that Marty McEvoy bought a 100 Euro Millions tickets in Sallins yesterday afternoon.
There's Seán Brady going in, what dya think Seán?

It's a pity you don't have Nuxer in his prime back home - class player.

Hi Emmet, interesting reading as always. In the league preview you predicted a tight game, you seem to be swinging towards a big Dublin victory(reading somewhat between the lines), what's the main thing that has changed in the months in between?

Mostly it comes down to my being overly cautious on Dublin at the time and also seeing more games for both. Kildare have a very good team but stylistically this is the worst possible match up for them.

Interesting alright - particularly the way you analyse Cluxton's role

Well the Dubs don't defend with 7 per say but they try to allow Brennan stay loose and use his left peg to spray the ball around. He needs to be pulled around the pitch.

Also that's the second preview that Johnston was mentioned a bit much. Don't see him starting and I reckon most who are from the county would much prefer Smith there. Also there is plenty of whispers of a bolter but no definite names emerging.
them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

I suspect it's Hurley to start instead of O'Connor.

Think the Dubs learned their lessons from 08/09 and centre/full backs getting dragged out - hopefully anyway.

It's an impossible one to call - Dubs are rightly favourites but the young Dublin players are completely untested at Senior level as are the Kildare young players - it could come down to those players and who copes better
