It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Captain Obvious

Would Louth or Wexford beating Meath be considered a shock nowadays?

Rossfan

No.
Louth bet them in 2010 ( overturned by a silly ref) and Wexford did in......?

Wildweasel74

if any of these two didnt beat Meath it be a shock these days

Ard-Rí

I think they have to play each other first.

One point win for Wexford.

rodney trotter

Good win for Wexford, thought Louth with the momentum and being at home would have shaded it. Although Wexford beat Louth in the League in Drogheda. Ciaran Lyng missed that game, and the entire league. It was a big boost for Wexford to have him back today. Great player.

Dont Matter

Obviously Louth took their eye off the ball. They got carried away with their win against an out of sorts Laois team the last day. The toss went in their favour and they may have looked good building up a lead and finding space in the 2nd half but the reality was that Laois had to go all out attack, this left them open for the counter attack.

That's twice you've suggested that the coin toss was one of main reasons for a ten-point win. Just as scundered for you second time round.

Dont Matter

Was the reason we beat Meath last year and it was the reason Louth beat us this year. If you play with a hurricane in the first half of matches and build up a lead, you generally win the game with ease.

No complaints, the better team won on the day. You would have to ask what was going on on the line, we were getting cleaned out in midfield and we brought off the corner forward. Really wanted a crack at Meath but it wasn't to be. Good luck to Wexford in the next round.

Ah gwan outa that.

Syferus

Yet another glorious victory for a D3 team over the poor sods of D2. We'll have to rename the tiers for next season.
