Is McElholm off the AFL radar now? Seemed very likely he was on his way 2 years ago but it has all gone very quiet since.

J Clarke
Callum Daly
R McCullagh (all confirmed)

Oisin McCann
Dalaigh Jones
Michael Conroy
Niall McCarney
Conor Cush?

McCarney is an interesting one. Definitely would give us a target man in at full forward. I know he's not playing the highest level at his club but he seems to have been going well this year.

We need different options rather than the same type of players. Guys like Fullerton and Jordan probably deserve a call up solely based on their form but don't really see them giving us anything we don't already have with the Canavans, McCurry, McElhom, McCullagh etc

Is McCarney definitely involved? I hadn't heard that reliably

The fund raiser was organized by a Drumragh teammate.
There were a lot of Drumragh men there

I cant see McCarney being brought in this year, another year or two to develop more physically and he will then possibly be ready for it. Would be early to bring him in and also hes also only 20, he did have a good year in junior but not just there yet.

Its a tight turn around for sure.

You could probably do without the final, the week before we play Kildare in the league 25th Jan. Then Derry 1st Feb

If you did actually win the McKenna cup - or be runner up - you would be out every weekend for the first 5 weeks of the year with two extra midweek games thrown in as well. Heavy pitches too.

An opportunity for a run out of the development squad guys. It looks like we currently have a squad of 40 to 45 players, so ample opportunity to manage the workload

I think that type of schedule would be beneficial if we use our squad well. One thing that frustrated me under Harte and also continued under Dooher and Logan was the flogging of college players. I think if we have guys involved in Sigerson midweek we should leave them out at the weekend.

We have plenty of players there now to test out that won't be involved in university football so let them at it in Sigerson. We also have nobody. caught up with their clubs at the minute either.

Are McKenna cup games included in the season ticket?
