Getting Cathal Donaghy a run at wing forward during the league should be high up on Malachy's agenda. Has all the attributes to push himself into that position ahead of Oguz and Ben McDonnell.
Ruairi McCullagh strikes me as our replacement for McCurry in the not too distant future - very similar players and always rack up big scores.
Joey Clarke another worth a call up - be a good option in the corner or at wing back.

That Tiktokers brother in corner back for lough is decent. Joey clarke a shoe in for a call up.

Would donaghey suit the half forward role at county level? Good player all the same.

Some conveyor belt coming through at youth. Tyrone must have the best youth coaches of anyone in the country to be constantly producing all ireland winners, its crazy to think of it

Would the clubs and schools not be responsible for most of the coaching of young lads,

Or maybe that is what you mean

Yes the schools have a massive part to play in it. The brothers and academy in dungannon always have great players but donaghmore, holy trinity and st ciarans also reaping benefits from their teams now to. Serious talent all round

Schools and clubs doing a great job. Odd seeing the school with the highest intake producing just one County player and a couple of minors over the last decade, namely Holy Cross in Strabane.

Schools have had a crazy amount of success over the last 5 years. Back to back all Tyrone MacRory Cup Finals. Four different schools represented in MacRory Cup semi finals. Donaghmore and Carrickmore's successes at McLarnon level. No surprise to see this translating over to Tyrone Minor and U20 successes. Senior successes can't be too far away in the future.

For me this is the issue, the success of underage football isnt translating to success in the senior team. Hopefully this will change in the near future but for whatever numerous reasons its not the case at the minute. Hopefully the development squad O'Rourke brought in will change this.

Source?

Widely reported now, seen it on Belfast live

Think he has yet to make a decision on it
Probably why the subject was off limits on the various interviews TTM did, Conor wasnt mentioned once

Oldest of them players from that school and county successes would be Seanie O'Donnell who is 22. We should see the translation to senior success over the next 3-5 years.

Plenty of talent from half backs up, havnt seen too many potential county additions in the full back line. A real dearth of good tight sticky man markers. We seem to be converting half backs into Corner backs etc.

Ben Hughes from Donaghmore was a standout on the last two U20 teams and would be a good call up. Michael Rafferty also an excellent prospect coming through. Joey Clarke, a cert for a call up, was a very good corner back as he came through underage. On top of having very good corner backs in Cormac Quinn, Aidan Clarke and Niall Devlin already on the panel. And of course you have Hampsey, Teague and McKernan as full back line man marking options. Plenty of options and plenty of competition.

Agree the backline is well stocked, its the half forward line that is awol more often than not, attack is the best form of defence

Errigal's demise good news for Tyrone? Them boys on the go for well over a year with little let-up. A few months off do them good... mind & body.

To be honest, I think 3 of your six backs will not play next year.

What would be good to see during national league:
Niall Morgan
Aidan Clarke Paudie Hampsey Niall Devlin
Michael McKernan Rory Brennan Shea O'Hare
Brian Kennedy Conn kilpatrick
Ciaran Daly/Seanie O'Donnell Lorcan McGarrity Cathal Donaghy
Darren McCurry/Ruairi Canavan Darragh Canavan Eoin McElholm

Call ups I would like to see: Joey Clarke, Callum Daly, Ruairi McCullagh, Oisin McCann, Ethan Jordan.

Get fitness built into Hampsey and McKernan for Championship. Give O'Hare, McGarrity and Donaghy loads of game time to see can they be options during the championship. Expose McElholm to full league from the start to again develop him as a starter come championship. I have picked Clarke as I like the look of him anytime he has played but game time can also be given to the more established Cormac Quinn or Peter Teague and even Michael Rafferty there potentially.
