You make a good point

Telling him he's wearing 11 and starting all the league games in that position might tip the scale, at some point players need backing, similar to Dazzler in 2021

There were big hopes for Sparky coming back and fair play to him for getting back involved, however just too many similar players with Canavans McElholm McCurry and O'Donnell in the mix too, then there's a host of young lads coming through of that stature also who will probably brought in to fill the squad to some extent

Sparky was going well at CHF in 2015, I feel that goal chance against Kerry in the semi-final was a sliding doors moment for him, had it gone in things might have worked out differently, still a class act for club and county

You could write a lengthy list of players in Tyrone who are outside the current squad but have the ability and quality to make it.

However, the commitment required is crazy. Basically training every day, devote your life to it and the reality is not every player wants that.

Club commitment suits many players much better and even that level requires a lot of effort these days.

That maybe explains why our club scene is so competitive and high quality.

The ability or talent of the player is never an issue in Tyrone in my opinion.

I don't know how Niall Morgan manages his role as Senior GK, minor coach, GPA exec and school principal to be honest - its a crazy full plate, I'd say playing for Man Utd would be small potatoes by comparison

What's the difference between the Tyrone Cup and Derrylaughan Cup tomorrow? Both u15.

One is an A team and the other a B team.

Cheers, is the B team competion against other county B teams or a mixture of B v A teams?

All those underage teams won today. All wore black Tyrone jerseys which was unusual.

Was it Tyrone B v Dublin B?

Yeah it's a Co Board policy that... Elite development squads don't just get to pull on the brilliant bright white jersey

Poor enough quality wise in the first half of the Dublin game but it did start to open up in the second half when we played with the wind. Armagh game was just complete domination. Thought the ref gave some odd decisions in it. A neutral linesman gave a sideline ball to Tyrone and the ref overruled him despite being the wrong side of the men to see what actually happened. Thought Armagh could have had 2 men sent off as well 1 for stamping on a player and number 15 for consistent fouling (lined a boy up from about 5 metres away and caught him high). But a wins a win and it was a complete performance. Some quality players on show

If he isn't starting for Tyrone next year then in my view we're not serious about winning

Do you reckon if Tyrone had of started Donaghy in 2021 instead of putting him on the bench, they could have seriously challenged for the all Ireland that year? 😂

So Tyrone the county with the most all Ireland titles won (senior/u21-20/minor)in the 21st century. Who over the next few years will be introducing all Ireland winners from those u20, minor and hogan teams, will not be serious about winning if they don't start a really good club footballer?

There's no doubt about it Donaghy is an unbelievable footballer but do some people not think about the possibility that a player willing to transfer to a rival club over a huff, and has left the county set up multiple times before, Might just lack the commitment/attitude to be an inter county footballer?

Some year for the coaches in Garvaghy. Whatever they are doing up there is working a treat!

Fantastic year for underage coaching. Shame about the senior relegation and 3 losses in the championship.

Theres a whole pile of samey forwards coming through in the mould of the Canavans McElholm Bradley and O'Donnell, who aren't ready yet and won't depose those front line lads, Donaghy is fully formed and ready to go. McCurry also stepped away previously, Colly Holmes moved clubs, both tangential issues, in my view if Donaghy is backed he'll go very well and add another dimension that the fw line needs, as McCurry did in 2021

Aye seniors did poorly, only got to an All Ireland semi final.
