Do you keep him forever rather than admitting it hasn't worked out. We are worse now than when he started.

We are struggling against division 2 opposition. We will get destroyed by Armagh
Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story. While yesterday was dire it was a league game in February. This is not the Premiership where a manager gets sacked after a few games.
In 2024 we got beat by Donegal by 7 points in Ballyboffey in the championship and exited to Roscommon at home.
Last year we beat Donegal away in the championship and reached the All Ireland semi-final. So we are not in a worse position than then...  championship is the game. If that goes totally pear shaped then by all means consider new management.
Talk of Tailteann Cup is hysterical nonsense by the way...

Before orourke started we were in Division 1, we are now 5th in Division 2. 4 games in and instead of thinking about promotion we are hoping to beat offaly to avoid finishing in bottom 3 of division 2.

We have no set style of play, we have missed easy scores in every game, we are have conceded a goal in every game so far. I would definitely say we are worse off.

Are you blaming management for players missing easy scores in every game.

I appreciate that things are not looking good but some of the stuff management are getting blamed for is mad.

They name a team after training on a Thursday night.

The send a dummy team to the printers.

When the team who were named to the squad on the Thursday take the pitch we have lads here who believe that the team has been changed an hour earlier.

A lot of people hoping for failure so that "their man" can have a go next.

Exactly that or so influenced by following Celtic and Man U that a few poor results is a call for a sacking and a new manager.

It's not the results - if we were losing/drawing games but were showing any semblance of a game plan or tactics, whilst blooding the younger lads then I'd be content.

Unfortunately, we have been going now for 18 months and the players still look lost on the pitch. No attacking plan at all.

Towards the end of yesterday's game our forwards just took to lumping high balls aimlessly towards the goals without any success.

There's no high speed, off the shoulder running. No directness towards goal. No ability to work a two pointer.
I wasn't there yesterday and I believe it was dismal. I wouldn't be writing the manager off on that show. Players too need to take responsibility.
Overall since he took over the situation hasn't been as bad as the outbreak of hysteria suggests. Last year in the championship were unfortunate to lose to Armagh in Ulster by one point, beat Donegal in Ballyboffey, hammered the Dubs in the All Ireland quarter-final in Croke Park. So he must have done something right.
I get the feeling is people willing them to fail to get stuck into their keyboards and hammer the manager. Even seen a call to get Mickey Harte back  :D  :D

Managers pick the players. If the player is regularly missing opportunities they should be pulled. Jordan sat on the bench nearly all game when he has put up big scores in recent games.

Are people seriously suggesting sacking a county manager 4 league games into the season?! Has that happened before?
Too much Premiership here!  :D

Ethan Jordan is a good footballer. He was anonymous vs Derry. Happens sometimes.

Maybe there ia a reason why he hasn't played any county senior football up to this year.

Or maybe he will start vs Offaly and score 0-12.

Very easy picking teams on here.

Wouldn't be thrilled with O'Rourke as we are 25/1 with bookies for All Ireland which is surely a low point in the last 25 years - however, is anyone overly enthralled when you see a Tyrone team sheet named at the minute? For all this talent we supposedly have it feels underwhelming every time you see a team named, whether that's injuries / retirements I don't know, but I would find myself saying "not deadly" most weeks to be honest.

Will beat Offaly and from that position it would need to be a series of catastrophic events to be relegated, wouldn't be worrying about that. Just a bleak enough outlook for 2026 anyway

People overlooking the edge Louth had over Tyrone on the day

>tyrone manager keen to have a cut
> u20 final humiliation paybacj
> leinster champions with proven winners
>big powerful men in key positions

I suspect you will see P Harte later in year.

No need for panic, nor much reason to dream. No Sam for a good few years.

Armagh will be tough but they lack finishing quality & ruthlessness.

Some men on here are mad. Morgan been off the boil, conn very average, daly not a midfielder, cullen no feet, cassidy is a forward, burns not a footballer, mckernan not a 6, strength and conditioning doesnt look anywhere near what it was in years gone by. Only going to get worse when darragh goes hotel trivago

Wouldnt be running to sack a manager but when everyone can see what he's doing wrong and he's not seeing it himself its not looking good.
the county board should ring peter donnelly and pay him whatever it takes.

Are those two comments connected?! Sorry to burst your bubble but Peter is working with Munster rugby these days 🏉

Maybe in the wrong but I thought Daly was one of the better ones yesterday an a much better all round footballer than con at the moment. Ben Cullen can kick 2 pointers and showed that for his uni but doesn't look like he's capable at the moment.

Just wondering who is the younger lad on the line with the water boy bib on?
