Where do we go? Orourke bringing the Monaghan and Glen style to Tyrone which relies of having quality players. We have to play to our forwards strengths which we haven't since he's been in charge. Teague will back in next game and think we could call Brennan back in as well for some experience.

Can we move Ronan Cassidy up to the half forward line. Not convinced about conn and Morgan has been v poor first 2 games. Canavan and Jordan had nothing to work with

The football world has changed dramatically since Monaghan and Glen. Reality is that we are still playing a pound shop version of what McGuinness and Rory Gallagher were offering years ago. Even Jim got found out on the biggest day

On a more positive note I thought our full back line did well. Obviously in a different game Derry could have had another 4 or 5 points added on but don't think it's anything to do with the full back line who were just putting out fires. When Devlin comes back do we stick him in at corner back and move Joey Clarke out to wingback? I'd like to see him get forward more

Was disappointed last year with a lack of attacking plan from Malachy. Much was made of making it to a semi final but no one was expecting us to win it and we could have easily been beaten by far more.

Again this year we dont seem to have a style of play or an attacking strategy.

Looking at donegal or armagh those players would run through a wall for their jersey or manager. Over the last 10 years I have never gotten that feeling from Tyrone players bar maybe a select few.

We seem to produce lots of classy players given a bit of space but gone are the days the likes of dooher, hub etc who would fight for every inch.

I hope I am wrong but I can see a very short season ahead of us.

Full back line were overworked. Every time Derry came forward they didn't meet much resistance out the pitch.

Maybe the answer will be found in Paddy Tally's upcoming workshop in Garvaghy "Understanding attacking principles of play in the modern game." 😂😂😂😂

Know it's been asked before but any word on the U20 panel yet?

Did enjoy this, Tally yapped and gurned about the new rules more than anyone and made his whole reputation as a coach by getting everyone behind the ball (an amazing innovation by the way), now he's an attack workshop guru - there is some grifting going on

Must win next 3 games. I think 7 points will be enough for survival and 11 could well get you promoted but there is absolutely no room for error now.
Surpized Teague was not in from start in Derry? Think despite his size he is best bet for CHB but to snuff out hub of other side attack (he seemed to do  v well v OShea in Semi)as McKernan is surely needed as a raiding wing back? Would McGleenan do as full fwd? Someone in there to clear out a bit of space is badly need to let Canavans and McElhom prosper and l think Donnelly is wasted at full forward he can still take ball into tackle and burst on ( for 40min anyway). Defense is well covered if working to a plan Morgan needs to up his concentration tho but don't like Cullen at wing back.

People talk about the big problem we have with so many similar forward styles, but when you think of it, after McCurry what left footed attackers do we have. Conroy perhaps the only out and out forward (but not sure Malachy fancies him) - the likes of Seanie and Cathal Donaghy also but not really score getters.

Why have we not looked to include some others even to the squad at this stage. The free we missed late on in the game is a tap over free for a lefty. What about Tiarnan Quinn, Danny Fullerton, Pauric Meenagh and Conor Owens. That's the top Four I can think of, is there any others out there. The left footed forwards we have had have been few and far between since Stevie:

Darren McCurry
Kyle Coney......
Mark Bradley

Think it brings a bit of balance to an attack and is something we could maybe look at?

Any other thoughts on other left footers available?

Why not cullen at wing back? Think he has done okay but to be fair wasn't in the second half at weekend, the same as Cassidy but wing back is new to him. Do we go back to experience like Burns and Brennan or stick with the youth?

In bad need of middle sector players that can win breaks and move it quickly, R Canavan will get his head up for a kick pass so may be given a chance to see how he gets on around the breaks. Difficult spell coming up with pressure games. Something like below for cavan?

Morgan

Cormac Quinn/Joey Clarke
Aidan Clarke
Niall Devlin

McKernan
Teague
Cassidy

Conn - Not playing well but not much options
Kennedy

Oguz
McElholm
Conor ONeill

Canavan
Jordan
Mattie D/McGarrity/McCurry

Persisting again with McKernan at 6 when its been shown more times than enough that it doesn't work. Brilliant wing back but not the man for holding 6. Thought the subs were very strange the other night - chasing a game and taking off your recognised free taker in Jordan and two point kicker in McKernan, while leaving Cullen and Mattie Donnelly on. If we could get a half back line of McKernan, Rory Brennan and Peter Teague, we should quickly start to turn around results. Bigger issues remain in the half forward line for serious progression in the summer with only Ciaran Daly established as a starter at wing forward - can't keep this chopping and changing there week on week and hope something works. Establish the best option for 11 and 12 and give them a run of games there to nail the position down.
