When you seen the attacking force Paul Devlin has put together on Wednesday evening versus what we seen today for 100000 salary...

Considering they were playing a poor U20 team! Isn't even comparable.
£100,000 now?... Last figure quoted here was 70... where you get these figures?

Derry were hot favourites for that game, Devlin put them to the sword. Tyrone were favourites today with bookies as Armagh were down so many players from their AI team and really lacked any fight.

Grace Murphy

Tyrone aren't far away still some serious scrap around the edges.

Do you think mccurry gets pissed off with all the Darragh talk when he's the rolls Royce.

Long live the Dazzler. A joy to watch.

No comparison an U20 and senior team just nonsense. Did you even watch U20 game?, Derry were woeful in defence ..

Good to see Tyrone competing and also playing fairly poorly and competing surely a good sign?

Orourke still searching for strongest team particularly his half forward line and who to play with Darragh and McCurry. Subs made a good impact and Mcelholm is a class act. Not sure Darragh and Kennedy will play as poorly again this year but think both recovering from knocks

The Bearded One

Armagh started with 2 out of 3 of the 2024 full back line.

Burns went to Darragh
McCambridge to Ruairi
McCormack (weakest, accordingly) to McCurry

I'd fully expect Dazzler to reap the reward of being picked up by the their weakest man marker.

Tyrone were destroyed on kickouts, I'd love to see stats on how many shots Armagh got off from their own kickouts, must be a high %. Tyrone played poorly and were still within a kick of Armagh. Substitutes added value (particularly McElholm).

Armagh will strengthen personnel as the summer rolls on, Tyrone will improve. Would expect to see them both down the line and would welcome a rematch 😬

It is what it is. Presumably.

What on earth has happened the Tyrone support?

Is it a mad mixture of an unexpected AI in 21 with 3 shitshow seasons after?

But even in bad days I remember better support. Or I think I do.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Scoring Zone

MOR, and coaching will be badly annoyed I would suspect, to be so laboured and still be in a position to win it and shit the nest. but at minimum Ruari, Daly & Oguz should have been hooked at HT (well well off it), Darragh as good as he is, in a top high end game was nowhere - in general we where very 'controlled' or layman's slow in the build up and tried to work a score where Armagh were more direct with Conaty and Murnin - in spite of the giving out I think there is a SF or final in this group but MOR is used to being an underdog with his teams so how he deals with the expectation and demands will be interesting

tyrone08

Oguz and daly are not near the stand and dont think they will reach it. Ruaíri and darragh need to stop messing about with the same stupid solo dummy that defenders know the are going to 10 times a game. Ruaíri should have been off at half time.

It has felt like the support peaked around 2005 and has never seemed to get close to that since.

Thoughts on yesterday.

Management were poor in their decision making. Tyrone were cleaned out on all kick outs. Should have hooked off both canavans as they were taking too much out of the ball and giving possession away. Should have brought on sparky instead.

Tyrone lack direct runners. All our forwards are light and try to dance around the opposition. We dont run direct at defences. Kennedy and kilpatrick did it twice yesterday and got scores from it. Need more direct running.

Dont think oguz, daly or donaghy add anything to the team. Watched oguz quiet a bit for errigal and tyrone, not up to standard and defensively he is poor.

If it wasnt for mccurry we would have been completely destroyed. He saved Malachy in alot of ways as if he had an off day tyrone would have been nowhere near Armagh.

omagh_gael

The kick out strategy, or lack of, was bizarre. You had to be at the game to fully appreciate the space the Armagh middle 8 got and the complete ease they received kickouts. There were at least 3 or 4 occasions where they'd a diamond of 4 players in MF completely unmarked and any one of them could have fetched with ease.

We very nearly pulled off what would have been a memorable win. Having said that I thought we were second best for most of the game. We are improving but still a bit off the top teams yet.need to add a bit of power to the forward line as we don't have enough men to break tackles or draw frees.missed mattie late in that game for that reason.
