Development squad? What's this?

Is this a new thing introduced by O'Rourke?

Who is on it or what is the purpose?

Are these players allowed to play for their clubs?

NotedObserver

Anyone any idea who is on the panel but not in the 26?

Would he be a nialled on starter?

For Owen Roes?

The only nailed on starters Tyrone should have are Morgan, Hampsey, McKernan, Kennedy, Kilpatrick and Darragh Canavan.

Hard to disagree on that, I'd say you'd have to include Donnelly, he is not young, but still one of the top performers and capable in a number of roles. You could maybe argue for McCurry as he's generally been consistent post-Harte but there's a lot of good forwards of his type coming through. MOR should make better use of that dynamic than Harte did. I'd have had Meyler too, based on his pre-injury previous form, but how he will return is another thing. Hard to make a case for the younger players, given how the last few years have had.

Feel ohare likely be a main stay this year as ceiling is v high. If Hampsey returns could we see Teague at half back? Think Brennan will work his way into the side

I assume Meyler won't be back this year?

O'Hare has certainly started off well and has all the attributes to be a success with the new rules with his pace. Brennan will get himself into the team - only a question of whether that is in at corner back or in the half back line. Come the summer and players have to be marked I don't know if we can get away with McKernan at 6, so Brennan might end up there with McKernan back in the corner.

what happened Richie Donnelly?
thought he was all primed for a return to the team on the basis of his club form?

With the exception of 2023 has his club form ever warranted a place on the county team? Was 2024 good enough to earn a recall? Has his performances for Tyrone ever been good enough to back up people calling for his selection in the team? Has he ever put together an injury free season for Tyrone?
Tyrone are better of looking elsewhere, Joe Oguz and Cathal Donaghy are both better options around midfield/wing forward.

Superstar, you must have been some player in your day or else you hold a grudge for non selection yourself

Yeah these things do make me laugh sometimes. I see lads on here being critical of Ritchie Donnelly, Michael O Neill and plenty of others when the truth is, these men are really good footballers. They may not be at elite level due to short comings like athleticism but its far too handy to be critical of men who only trying to play a bit of football

With good coaching and a push O'Neill could have a lot to offer, not as a CHB, not sure where, but if the appetite is there he's worth another go give or take

Thought Oneill was good for ardboe in summer but not sure if it's the player they need right now. Rumours T McCann was back must have been incorrect. Only Oneill and Rafferty not been on the match day panel so far?

Was wondering would the new rules suit big mcglennon for kick outs? Or does game move too quick?
