I wouldn't eat it if it benefited my club.

Gavin Mc Parland will be a huge loss to us (Ballymacnab), he hit 1-7 last night against carrickcruppen. But he is young and an opportunity has came up so good luck to him

The playing career of these guys will span over a lot more than one summer. To start calling 20 odd year old guys who get an opportunity to see the world selfish is ridiculous. You're only that age once so might as well take the opportunity.

This may be the only chance they'll ever get to do it and in all likelihood they will have many years of service to club and county to come.

They lack loyalty. Lads like that you don't need.

Nonsense. They're young and have opportunity they may never see again.

Dont Matter

It's jealousy, young and free in America, making money, playing ball.
If only.  :(

From a selfish point of view I would like them to stay with their clubs, but if I was in their shoes I'd be away like a shot.

I take these lads are still students? or is one or 2 of them out working and there is no work over here?

Why all the hullabaloo? It's clear none of the three lads were really part of the Manager's Plan A,and most likely won't be featuring in his Plan B either,if and when it's ever completed.

I wouldn't necessarily agree with that Tony considering one started against Cavan and another is the second highest scorer on the team for the season.  The other 2 I would agree with you about.  The reality is that these lads have a chance and there isn't the same draw to play for the county as there was a number of years ago.  Also, at a different time, when different people were involved in the whole set up these lads would have been 'found' work if the management needed them.  This is no longer the case and is a greater commentary on the economic situation as opposed to the footballing situation.  The reality is that they are replaceable.  By all accounts Robbie Tasker is playing out of his skin for St Pat's and even though I would be reluctant to catapult him straight into the squad he certainly deserves a look.  He hit 11 points the other night and would be the ideal replacement for McParland.  Morgan is more or less fit so there is the replacement for McKenna.  Good luck to the lads, they won't often get the chance, it is just a shame their clubs will suffer.

Not blaming the lads at all for this, but neither Mc Kenna nor Mc Parland have firmly established themselves four years down the line from the Minor win.If Donaghy had ben fully fit Mc Kenna wouldnt have started against Cavan even.

Sad indictment of the times we live in,both economically and football wise as far as Armagh are concerned.

You're last two posts make no sense. you say McKenna or McParland weren't part of Grimley's plan a and probably not plan b yet both have featured heavily this year with McParland carrying a knock into the cavan game.

Also, your second post doesn't seem to hold value. Donaghy was named in the original team alongside McKenna, it was Moriarty who came in for Donaghy.

All of a Sludden

Looks like Jamie is off on his travels again.
I'm gonna show you as gently as I can how much you don't know.

Is Grimley staying? Or are ye going to put the call out for one of ye're boys in Leinster?
