I see Jamie does care after all.  In the IN today that while he does intend to travel he will be back for the Ulster championship campaign.  Good news for Armagh supporters. ;D ;D

Jumping the gun there, he doesn't say that - he says he could be back.

I don't think some realise how professionally run Crossmaglen have become. If Jamie keeps going he will be burnt out before 30, he deserves the break and should come back fully refreshed good luck to him.

Oisin seems to be doing ok on the training regime!

Has David McKenna ever togged out at midfield for the county at senior level?

OK, I don't have the article in front of me but the signs certainly looked good.  He was also full of praise for the management team which countered the arguments put forward in the title of the thread and a few posts on it too.

He's one of the Cross players that the county management would like to look at but have been unable to.  Had been plagued with injuries for a few years there and I would have suspicions of a cool attitude to the county

Jamie must be thinking Brigids will be sending him on his holidays early!

Good news for Armagh and for Grimley, the last thing a new manager needs is to be without their star player in their first season.

Is Jamie in his final year at UUJ or is he finished there?
As I dream about movies they won't make of me when I'm dead

All of a Sludden

A new media and PR role in the county is the reason why Armagh ace Jamie Clarke will be available to the Orchard County this year.

Clarke - who finished his degree at UUJ later this year - will take up the new position with county senior sponsors Rainbow Communications and minor sponsors Simply Fruit.

"The way Armagh is progressing now with Armagh TV, hopefully bringing our own fundraising in, we do need somebody as a media figure and he fits the bill," manager Paul Grimley told The Irish Daily Star.

"Jamie is ideal because, number one, he has a degree in media studies and number two because he is Jamie Clarke."

Armagh TV was launched last Saturday with its first ever live streaming service for the McKenna Cup game against Cavan.

That means he has put plans of travelling abroad on hold.

The online channel will carry a host of club matches from this year's championship held in the Athletic Grounds as well as live shows in the coming months with famous faces from around the county.
I'm gonna show you as gently as I can how much you don't know.

So what exactly is his role with Armagh tv? Presumably the online channel will be covering mostly Armagh games which would rule him out of media work on those matches. Its clever thinking to get him involved here though, should benefit the player, the sponsor and the county.

Armagh TV will have diverse programming. Tony Fearon is hosting a prize show, where the contestants give the host a prize. Lawnseed will the doing the literary review. Orior will be doing the good old days programme. There will be a weekly programme for epicures, the Lurgan guide to Fortified Viniculture. The motoring programme will feature a Culloville mechanic who will explain such things as having two fuel tanks in your vehicle and modifying your vehicle when importing into the 26 counties.

Count 10

Who can blame them, especially McKenna...hung out to dry two years in a row. Good luck to them.

Disapppointing. Armagh's going nowhere. Three players from the all-ireland minor winning team of 4 years ago.  Really bad indictment of the way things are at the minute.
That's just, like your opinion man.
