Donnellys Hollow

Kildare 1-13 Carlow IT 0-7

KILDARE: Connolly, Lyons (0-1), Foley, McGrillen, Bolton, Conway (0-3, 2f), E Doyle, White, O'Neill (0-1), Flanagan (0-1), McNally (0-2), M O'Flaherty, R Kelly (1-0), O'Connor (0-1), Sweeney (0-3, 2fs). SUBS: P Kelly for Bolton, P Brophy (0-1) for O'Connor, Groome for E Doyle, Fogarty for Sweeney, Eaton for R Kelly.

Not a lot of experimentation in the first half. We must be going all out to extend our lead at the top of the O'Byrne Cup roll of honour. Hopefully we'll see more of the younger lads getting a run in the next two matches.
There's Seán Brady going in, what dya think Seán?

I don't want to read too much into this game, but based on our performance so far I'd say we'll definitely win Leinster.

An Longfort 1-03
An Mhidhe 1-06

Final score:
Meath 1-9, Longford 1-7.

The nightmare is over; the glory days are back.

McGeeneys reputation as a manager who is "well looked after" but has delivered absolutely nothing in return is challenged by his excellent annual run in the O'Byrne cup!  :P

Does this mean 2013 is over already for us Larries?

You show little respect for the bihatimber with that sort of attitude.

Great to get the first competitive game off to a win. Great that some new lads got a run and hopefully a few gems are unearthed.

Wouldn't take a whole lot from it though, longford were understrenght and weather was poor.

Next game in 2 days, i like the short and fast scheduling.

I guess it'll be hard for longford to get the next stage with a loss on their scorecard already.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

The bihatimber is gone to the trophy cabinet in the sky hardy.

Decent showing in Moate yesterday. Dessie, Glennon and Callum McCormack worked well upfront together. Backs weren't really tested. Kieran Gavin is a lovely reader of the flight of the ball. Duffy not as good, for every catch he got under one. Damien Dolan made a good impression, did the simple things well and was very comfortable on the ball, look forward to seeing him again.

Ger Egan and Kieran Martin carried the fight for AIT, James Dolan was very quiet but ball didn't reach him that often in fairness. Encouraging start, Laois on Wed will be a whole different level though.

Nobody tells me anything. That puts a whole new complexion on the next round.

AZOffaly

Offaly must be favourites for the All Ireland now, having beaten Laois in Tullamore by 3 points. 1,700 people at it too, which is nice :)

Been hearing great reports about your new setup, training, etc. Changed days when it takes a Westmeath man to sort you out.  :P I hear McNamee did all the damage yesterday, was it a strong Laois team?

Same price into the Mckenna Cup games, dunno about FBD and the McGrath cup.

€10 is over the top for an O'Byrne Cup game. Hope this isn't setting a precedent for the league and championship.
