What do people make of this. I know its not wide spread but I think it has no place in our sport. Maybe I've got rose tinted glasses on but I always view Gaelic games as fair and rrspectfull sports. The Dublin fans boo and jeer every free taker and I think its disgraceful. The dubs aren't the only set of fans that do it, the Louth fans do the same.
Let em know your there

In fairness to the genuine Dub fan I would say 99% of the booing comes from the Neanderthals on Hill 16.

It's everyone, in fairness. Meath fans at the Canal end beside myself went beserk trying to put off the Dublin minor taking a penalty. Poor form, but that's what you get when you bring crowds together.

By the by, Dublin were quite gracious in victory today, and I could have no complaints about them whatsoever. Most of the vitriol seems to be spewed on the internet, rather than face to face.

It's here to stay. Have a few campaigns to promote respect and have clubs teach young children basic etiquette but beyond that you'll have to live with it. I know everyone loves a moan but I'm far past even caring if some riled-up supporters boo, it's a worldwide problem and one only exasperated by ingrained drinking is here.

I just posted something about this on the Leibster final thread. Just seen this now.

Yes it was disgusting today. It says alot for the adults. If kids were booing, they should get a clip round the ear from a parent. But when the parents are doing it too, well what else would you expect?!

here comes 6

Its not only Leinster this happens as Donegal were at it everytime a Down player went to take a free yesterday.   Disgraceful

Meath fans were booing Offaly free takers last year too in Tullamore.

perhaps we got these signs installed at all stadiums it might help.

It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016
