Anyone getting the feeling the place is awash with wannabee managers lately  ;D

Don't want this to sound bad, but who cares? It was never a thing before, as a player I never worried who was or really interested in who was taking the team, more so who I was up against..

Who retired or who's making the team would have been more interesting.

On the Johnnies management I definitely seen in social media Paddy was involved in the team, must have changed?

Yet again, Antrim seems to be the only place this doesn't matter, and is a symptom of the wider problem

It matters to the team, I'm just saying it shouldn't matter to anyone else

If I'm managing my senior team, I'm not concerned who's managing the other team, not sure why that a symptom of a wider problem

Paddy who?

I'd say there's more just ready to run everyone down! Jack O'Conor could go for a job and he'd get a ridiculous amount of abuse

I wonder has anyone on here taken a senior team before?

I'd say I've taken nearly every team in the club bar senior football manager, senior hurling all the way down to under 12's and reserve football, Southy as well, wasn't paid a penny ffs  ;D

Used to back in the day get our phone bills paid, when ya had to actually use a phone from the house, saved it till Paddy's day and generally spent it all in the club

Tbf you are not the person who contributes with the abuse and running down of others who are taking up management

I haven't take a senior team before and I don't think I'd be capable of doing it either but the abuse and throw downs that go on especially recently towards Colin Toal and Niall Jackman was ridiculous

SaffronSports

This is why we need to know who is managing who. How can we give informed abuse if we dont know who theyve managed before.

Fair play to anyone who manages a senior team. Ive only got as far as managing kids and even thats had its moments.

Yes, various county set ups and high level club football.

If your next post was at me, I haven't abused any manager - but I believe someone puts themselves up for judgement if they apply for our county job.

Do you think Paddy has the credentials for the Antrim job?

When and why did Jackman get abuse?
I seen the Toal stuff. Ridiculous and unfair. There would appear to be a few noses out of joint here for sure. The good old Irish trait of loving to hate on thy neighbour doing well.

What's that even mean?
Ballymaguigan - managed Aldergrove too

Adrian Dougan? That would be a good appointment for either side.

Maybe when the playing days are over.

Away to Doire in the championship.

I suppose a quarter final 2 years running is progress.

Given the state of the toilets in Derry the campaign to get the match to Corrigan should be an easy one.

NatSoSaff

Looking forward to that.

Here is a light hearted bit of craic here to get the team predictions and debate going.

McNabb

K Keenan
J Finnegan
E McCabe (not sure if he's committing?)

S O'Neill
E Walsh
M Jordan

D Smyth
K Small (or C Hand if committing?)

P McBride
C Johnston
A Loughran

R McQuillan
P McAleer
T Mccann

Then P Finnegan, shivers, burns, mcenhill, carron, McAuley, boyle etc hopefully beefing up a stronger bench this year. I'm probably missing loads or forgetting an obvious starter. But I'd be happy along these lines to begin with. Who would you add or change?

Unfortunately decky won't be playing much for a while. Think the only dunloy player about the county is Tom mcferran. He's definitely able for it.
