Take the Mark

Bring back Division 4 and that would sort it out.

8 team Division 1
10 team Division 2
10 team Division 3
10 team Division 4 including a few reserve teams.

Will teams take the league seriously because it's 8 teams? We have had that and I'm struggling to remember when anyone took the league seriously

Seeding for a straight knockout Championship might help garner more interest. An 8 team SFC, no more farting about with pointless group games.

Not fair on teams that have county players who don't get to play league games as much, handier for the other teams who don't have county players

An unseeded championship would be even better. Zero chance for teams to ease themselves in at all.

Is it time to revisit a Back Door championship?

The group stage format feels empty

There's been a lot of dead rubber games in the past few years, somethings gotta change.

Think straight knockout is the way to go

The amount of senior clubs is ridiculous. The issue now is how do you fix that? If you're a div 1 club you won't vote to reduce that and if you're div 2 or 3 you won't vote to have a pile of teams coming down to you either. Is there a way the county can do a refix without the clubs voting? I cant see an alternative.

It would likely depend in who is due to get relegated or object, then they'll arrange meeting- then last minute take it online then mute everyone. We've already been there!

Is one of the key reasons behind championship format (and possibly league format) not the split season? Very few counties don't play groups or some kind of back door which I thought the rationale for was because teams had played most of the league without county players?

Tyrone would be the exception but their league goes on far longer than ours does I *think*?

I am not 100% sure if league format is due to split season but like anyone else here I would think 16 teams far too many.

I see we are recruiting for an "Operations Manager" in Antrim GAA
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come
