On the topic of management - St Bridgets have released clubman Ruari Oneill of his duties. Players meeting at the weekend and the vote went against him. Heard Shea downey had a huge say.

A year isnt a lot of time however they did look flat in their single knock out game against dunloy.

NorthAntrimSaff

Is flatness the managers fault or the players? Seems to be a big turnover of players for them? Was it 2 forwards remained from the previous year i think was mentioned on the commentary

Heard otherwise heard he told the lads that was the end of his time after dunloy game

They are always looking a scapegoat ! Maybe look a bit clser to home than the chairman , players didn't turn up

Maybe thats what caused his departure? Not enough Downeys from previous years playing and more st bridgets lads

Also nothing to do with the chairman - was a players vote. The meeting was called by Shea downey.

Still not too late for a combined finals ticket to be launched , be great to have one for all 3 football finals (or hurling!).

kerrygerry

Thats what the derry boys have been saying about that lavey thing. Looks like its happening again.

Not knowing who's injured, but Enda Downey and Matthew Downey if fit, be starting that team,as they start Laveys. I seen them lads at underage and they were exceptional.

marty34

Good players at underage but a few years later are bang average and have had a lot of injuries.

Like a lot of young players, they got through a lot of underage with the family name.

Have St. Brigid's regressed a bit this year?  They should have a good pick of players in that area. Would they be the top football club in Belfast?

Was Brolly ever on their senior management?

Who cares how good they are if they are poison. R O'N is a good clubman and incredibly well liked in SB so if what is being said on here is true it won't go down very well in Musgrave.

Shea had nothing to do with the initial fall out in Lavey.  It all stemmed from his dad being told the club wanted to take a different direction from him being involved with the senior football management.  Seamus and Henry eventually threw the toys out of the pram and told their lads that they had to move too.

A lot of talk about something that isn't very believable and its opened it up for people to abuse, calling a family 'poison', wise up!
Some time goes in to taking a senior team if your local or not, and its even more admirable if it is your own club if you ask me. So fair play anyone that is doing or has done it recently.
