Absolutely.
Absolutely is right.
Made football enjoyable again (except for the gaaboard 7 canutes)
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

As much as some want to heap praise towards Jarlath for that his position is a figure head and it was those in HQ with actual power that rolled it out.

So the rule changes had nothing to do with Burns and were coming regardless of who was president??

Didn't Burns form the FRC with Gavin and Fitzmaurice and the rest of the twats.

Always in the pipeline regardless of president, Jarlath was your friendly face to promote it.

I don't recall hearing anything about an FRC or the like until Burns took over and commissioned it as one of his first acts as president.

Horrendous comments by Jarlath Burns after today's protest. Was people involved in the protest also lost friends to Loyalist murder gangs.

Invoking the victims of the Glennane Gang to condemn protesters... many of those protesters also lived in Mid Ulster at that time and know all about the pain caused by the loyalist murder gang... and that's a fact.

With the role of the President largely ceremonial and filled by school principals, is it time to dispense of the facade and look to the CEO (Ard Stiúrthóir) as the figurehead, for both direction and accountability? Arguably the CEO should have stood Jarlath down following the RG incident.

Derek Kent said himself since being elected, 3 years is a micro-term with little opportunity to achieve anything of note, to paraphrase if he can keep it between the hedges he'll have done his bit. Hope he gets the answers to the questions he was asking re the GPA knees up in Africa that was brushed under the carpet

Jarlath is a waste if clothes/oxygen

QuoteWe put it through our own processes

Hmm do you put everything "through our own processes" jarlath?

That said I think it's harsh that all the frc ones are being labelled twats and he is labelled a waste of oxygen...

True, Jarlath hasn't been great.
I think that's being kind. A lot of people confused his ability as an orator with potential ability to run the Association. He's not done yet but a couple of big speeches in HQ and the 2 pointer wouldn't be much of a legacy. Unfortunately for him most of his headlines were for sticking his nose into Rory Gallagher's business, and more recently backing Allianz.

Ah you just can't please everyone.
Did he please anyone though?

He suggested today that protesters came into "our property". That in essence sums up Jarlath and the hierarchy. The protest today was packed with GAA members. It's not the property of a select few suits, who want to dictate to us.
The issue should have been discussed.
