QuoteALthough Bradley would've had men hanging out of him this Sunday and may not have scored as heavily, he still attracts 2-3 defenders on the ball so his absence will be sorely missed.

I have to agree with O'Neill (reluctantly, of course). Quite apart from his direct contribution, Bradley would have drawn the defence and created opportunities for other forwards. I think Donegal can score more on the break than Derry can in a packed Donegal half of the field, but I'd love to wrong on this one.

Coupon for Free £5 bet on 1st goal scorer in Irish News. Any tips?

This will be a real tactical battle with Donegal pulling everyone behind tjhe ball and trying to hit Derry on the break. Derry have the player to score from long range and even without Bradley they can win this by 2.

Maybe Derry 0-12 0-10 Donegal? No goal scorer.

Is it true that Martin McHugh [ar*****e] has been helping with the Donegal training?
I don't understand the hatred poor wee martin attracts from Derry fans.  Who cares who he tips and I'd expect him to give donegal a hand with the training.  Maybe it's easy seen I rarely watch the gah on the beeb.

on request, he's probably listed at corner back, so the odds compilers don't bother pricing them up.  Though way the amount of keepers taking fifties nowadays, they should start pricing them up, an odd one might drop short or didn't curran from roscommon used to take the penalties?

Skinner is a massive loss for Derry but I feel if we had have lost 'The big easy' aka Enda instead, we would have been in slightly worse shape. The ball going in will be key and it will be interesting how Donegal deal with him.

Its not just Derry fans. He seems to really upset a lot of northern lads like this fella Ferdie. They must have little to worry about if they get so enraged and personally offended by a tv pundit!

I'm delighted if he's pitching in to help the Donegal team in some manner. He's a smart fella and his track record with the teams he has managed is excellent.

And why shouldn't he help out, especially with his son now established in the side?

No idea how this game is going to turn out. A bit worried about midfield, especially with the problems we had against Tyrone for the first 40 minutes or so, particularly with the breaking ball. And we don't even know at this stage if Rafferty or Kavanagh will make it. Which means we could end up with Neil Gallagher and Martin McElhinney in there, or maybe even Cassidy or Toye (if he's fit enough by now). An Ulster final is not the best game in which to have to introduce a novel midfield pairing, particularly using lads of haven't played or have only come on briefly as subs. Whatever way we line up, we'd definitely want to get into the swing of things a bit sooner than the last day, when nerves clearly got to the lads for the first 25 minutes. I think if we do win it, it will be another tight, low scoring win.

Don't fancy meeting Kildare in next round, will leave that up Derry!
Donegal to win by 3 points bookies giving Donegal 10/12 minus one point, great bet.

Donegal by 2 in low scoring encounter. I would say the pubs round Clones are hoping for a Donegal win as well!

Losers are going to face an uphill task v Kildare next week. Ulster council should be ashamed of themselves.

ha ha derry

Derry to win by a couple, just have to stand on wee Mc Hugh and that stops Donegal. Sean Leo man of the match.  ;)

tyroneStatto

its a very similar day weather wise to when derry won ulster in 93 and 98.

omagh_gael

Brutal game. Derry can't hit a barn door.

There would be a better atmosphere at a Kilkenny v London league match!

Not looking good for Derry at the minute. Donegal tactics hard to combat.
