QuoteThe Abbottabad residence is just a few hundred metres from the Pakistan Military Academy - the country's equivalent of West Point or Sandhurst.

Why do people look at Fox?

Not to defend Fox but one of the news readers on CNN this morning kept referring to Osama as Obama.

That caption says Fox40, which suggests its a local news broadcast, which is separate to the national Fox News Channel. Unless the local channel was showing the national FNC broadcast?

That said, there is a different between a slip of the tongue and someone typing something out and putting it on screen. How long did they leave that up there?

dillinger

Seems he phoned his mates Gerry and Marty and told them he's alright it was a double who was killed.  ;D

The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

I never forget a face but in your case I will make an exception.

So no witnesses to the killing and no corpse.  Only the US version of events to go by. More likely he was tortured & mutilated to death and them dumped in the sea to erase all evidence.  The war on terror is justifi£d and mu$t continu€.

No I would say it was a couple of bullets to the head. I would say evidence will be forthcoming soon, to satisfy the doubters on the Gaa Board if nothing else.

He lives in that area of Pakistan, and was tweeting about helicopters overhead.  Speaks also of a Helicopter crash close by.

Was glued to CNN from about 7.30 last night when I got the txt that "they finally got the world hide and seek champion" from a mate. Personally found the scenes of such jubilation a little crass to be honest - but understandable given the circumstances and history of Bin Laden never the less. A little humility might have gone a long way - but that is not the American way (on the outside at least).

Unfortunately some poor innocents are going to bear some sort of brunt for this - but the reality was that Bin Laden could never have been left to slink back off into the hills after 9/11 and it really is mental that it took almost a decade to get him.

Hamas have certainly nailed their colours to the mast with his passing - doubtful then that there will be need for much more debate on the middle eastern threads as to why the USA isn't too concerned about protecting them - given their adulation of the man who masterminded the 9/11 attacks.
