sky have a good deal, about £18 a month for both broadband and landline which includes the line rental

Virgin have a deal although not sure if available all over the 6, i see fliers for it in the Irish news for c.£20

but i have sky and have no problems with it

Well get one that says that you are in the North and don't be coming on here whining that you cannot get games on RTE.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

Talk Talk (used to be Tiscali) have good deals atm

Saw some headline today that they have had the most complaints in the last 5 months.

I think, but dont know for sure, that the transition from Tiscali to Talk Talk processes may given rise to some percentage of those complaints.  I know I never have had a problem other than degradation of max download/upload speed due to distance from an exchange that Fionntamhnach has described.

Anyone having any problems with BT broadband at the min? Everything seems to be working at the hub and none of the computers are picking it up. Am hoping its a BT problem rather than something here.

BT are having a major issue with Broadband in NI related to an exchange in Birmingham

im in belfast with virgin broadband but this last hour it has kept disconnecting, though turning the modem off then back on sorts it out for a while.

My brother lives in Lurgan and has got talktalk and they say its very poor
Does any of ye know any IT savvy lads in the area that could recommend which is the best BB in the area

I think he's considering moving to BT Infinity.
He might also need some PC work done as he wants to upgrade to Win 7 or 8 from XP

Is sky done through the dish and if so what is the lag like. If anyone has the ping values they get on sky I'd be interested to see them.
