Sparky used to score these type of goals all the time for United!!!

Yep Sparky scored some classic goals i think his most important goal was v Oldham in the Fa Cup semi final 1994

As for the Rooney goal on sat...some people have lost the importance of the goal! if united win the league they will look to that goal much like Kiko's one in 2009 v Villa.

Bit of an exaggeration, think time is playing tricks with your memory. Did score a few nice ones mind, my favourite was actually for Wales not United.

Can't believe the narrator called Hughes a p***k at the very start. Probably was Keys was it?

One of the best shinned goals I have seen

they debated this on MOTD2, in one angle it does look as if he shinned it, from another it looks as if he catches it with his boot, personally its a cracking goal, but not as good as Sinclairs

It definitely came off his shin. Agree about Sinclairs.

Not the best goal ever
Not even the best overhead kick ever
Best goal of the season though

did you see the two angles they showed, i would have agreed that it was his shin going by the first one, but the second one shows differently

Minder trying his best to take the gloss off a great goal  :D

It takes a special strike when you have fergie saying it's one of the best goals he's seen in OT

What an overblown exageration, this goal is just another good goal, nothing more.

Ronnie Whelan V The Soviet Union in 1988 was far better

Rooney's Goal was better than Van Bastens second one, and probably Rivaldos. Not close to the others.

Would have been the best goal of Euro 88 If it wasn't for Van Basen's strike in the final.
