Sorry for being late with the reply but there was a break in the weather today and I got to hoe and mould a few spuds.

A few things:

I think the 4 tee shots per player requirement is tough especially if we have folks who are genuinely not golfers. It could have the effect of slowing groups down also. Can understand the thinking but maybe it could be reduced to 2 or 3?

Are we wearing club or county jerseys or would that be a bit much?

On the sponsorship thing what is being done? When would I need to get something confirmed? I'd hope to get 50€ off the club at least.

I'm still organising hole sponsorship from Newport, and another lad has said he'll send me a cheque as well. Seanie, if you want your club to sponsor a hole, let me know and I'll make sure Bud gets it, in case he isn't looking in here.

I think we should try and get at least 18 holes @ €50. Come on lads :)

As for the rules, bugger off. You're going to be celebrating a league title out on the course, so shag off.

OK Lads, I'll post up the final rules on Wednesday Night, and send off to Bud so he can print out and put with the scorecards.

I'm being swayed by the arguments put forward by Muppet, because he's on my team, but I genuinely think at least 3 'tee shots' each need to count. I'll concede 4 might be a bit much.

As for hole sponsorship, it's starting to move now. We've clubs from Meath, Sligo (hopefully), Tipperary, Cork and Kildare, as well as FoSB's contribution, and whatever else Bud has, so let's keep her lit. PM me if you think your club can spare €50, or if someone else would do so on a club's behalf.

If you contact me before Thursday, I'll personally make sure the signs are printed out and ferried to Tulfarris for the 11 am start on Saturday, and sure ye can take a photo with the sign from your club.

cheers
