Confirmed last night to a crowd of over 5000 in Castlewellan that he will not be returning to Collingwood. Just the news I had wanted to hear, as I was worried he may have left after this year. Good news for Down and good news for the GAA.

big relief, glad you started a thread about it.
Which one of you bitches wants to dance?

mountainboii

Would you have expected him to say anything different on the evening that was in it?

Didn't Tadgh Kennelly say something similar last year?

Hardly deserving of a new Topic.  As mentioned, he wouldn't be saying anything other than that in front of the crowd last night.  Didn't TK say alot of similar things last year.

well if he was thinking of returning he would be smart enough to say nothing rather than volunteer the information.
whats wrong with starting a topic on the matter?was there not one for kennelly on the same topic?some people have a real dose of self importance ::)

I think it is deserving of a new thread as he is one of the best young players in the country and it doesn't belong to the Down v Cork thread, as that's a match thread.

It was the first thing he said on stage. He wasn't prompted by anyone to comment on it. He spoke, said that there were rumours going round about him going back to Australia and he told the people that the only place he wants to play football is here. If he was to go he wouldn't have mentioned it at all.

If Tadhg Kennelly told me it was raining I'd look out the window and check.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Never mind the begrudgers on here. Your well within your rights to start a thread.

I've enjoyed watching Martin Clarke this year in the Ulster and All-Ireland Championship. Fantastic news that he isn't returning to Australia for 2011.

Not to burst any bubbles but Aussie rules season doesn't restart until march. He'll have plenty of time to assess how Down are developing next season before deciding.

Not if he wants to get into training for the season to start and to readjust to the oval ball. Can't see him leaving
