There was a time when N ireland was top of the international hit parade, but with so much going on in the world now we are really small beans. If the Troubles started up again nobody would care

So true however the unfortunate thing is to many of our politicians think they / NI are of relevance in the international stage.

Michelle Gildernew getting the boot, what's the story there? One of the more friendly and down to earth "big hitters" in the party who put herself about to suit the party strategy to be laid off like this

BBC must have reckoned his reputation is so bad (in many quarters) he can't be slandered.
Slander- the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation.
That was an own goal.
Good enough for them... their reporting here and of Gaza, treatment of Linekar etc etc

tiempo

Plenty of giving out about the verdict the salty cnuts, obviously still think themselves above the law

Bryson doing some girning. For someone with his self proclaimed legal mind, he hasn't a clue. The case didn't hinge on whether or not Adams was in the IRA.. that's been stated before.
It was the BBC allegation that he sanctioned the murder of a British agent, Denis Donaldson. They clearly weren't able to stand over that. Jury knew their remit... damages to the plaintiff.

That's 200k Smyth has cost the licence fee payers in couple of years, what with Donna Traynor taking him to cleaners for way he behaved towards her. Time the big wigs in London took action. He's also the guy who always provides cover for Big Trunks. If an ordinary BBC employee sent people dick pics they'd be out the door at speed of light.
