How can they say they made no profit on the transaction ???

Bought it for a fiver vand sold it for £460k ?

No profit ?  ???

Strictly speaking the £460k was for the land they already owned. The land they brought for £5 was resold for £5. That said, the £460k land and the surrounding land wouldn't have been sold, only for the small patch the Robinsons got from Frazer.

Exactly. Which is why they're going to get off with it. The question remains. Why did yer man Fraser sell it to them for a fiver? What favour(s) did they do for him?

He buys land in a green belt which is effecivly worthless to a developer and hey presto the green belt is lifted via a bit of political clout... That would be my guess.

It makes you wonder just how much more the media will produce between now and the election!
From what I hear there is loads more of this type of stuff to come out of Castlereagh. The Beeb are bombarding them with FOI questions

anyone watching this on newsline about their £5 land purchase? didn't see it earlier myself!

What had been said about this was that the investigation had been ongoing for the last 3 months. Many people suspected after the Iris story broke that there may be more to some of the links with developers than had met the eye.

It does show a different trajectory to investigative journalism in the north which is a welcome sign. No more brushing allegations of financial irregularites under the carpet.

Missed Newsline - had been listening to it on Radio Ulster, however the BBC did a 'specially extended' news bulletin after the main news at 10 O'Clock to cover it and it also got a high profile slot on the main UK news at 10! They're really going to town on it.

I typed "Can Peter" into Google and..... well you can see!  :D

Former employee's of Fred Frazer are being inundated by the media to give interviews and have been told not to by Frazer developments as they have a PR company on the job!!
Strangley the PSNI haven't got round to that yet!!

The shinners & SDLP are all keeping very quite on this. You think that they would be on this like flys on shit. Not a peep out of any of them. This worries me the most.

Sometimes it best to let things take their natural course. What's the point of butting and riling everyone's back?

I'd suggest they sit back and watch it all unfold.

I reckon this story will gain momentum from calls from other unioists and the Tory party. The last thing Cameron wants is another financial accusation hanging over the Tories before the election.

Its the UUP who have formed an alliance with the tories, not the DUP.
