Was wondering why the commentators were pronouncing his name as Mur-ray given.
Murray is a famed name in Roscommon GAA circles - Jimmy Murray captained their 2 All-Ireland winning teams.

The surname Murray is normally pronounced Murry is South roscommon but I knew a couple of families that pronounced it Mur-Ray.

Quote from: gallsman on Today at 08:24:46 PMTerrific start to the game. Can't see England hanging around as much as the Scots did.
It's very confusing having to back England. With the pressure on Borthwick ans senior players they have to get after this too, so it could go all the way!

Also have to factor in that if England deliver here (which tbh they're doing so far) they'll likely keep Borthwick, which every other country should want coming up to the WC.

I was expecting a 4 try bonus point in the first half of the France England game.

gallsman

Really, really moronic tackle in the air from Murley to let the French back in before HT.

gallsman

That may well end up being that. Harsh on Genge tbh. Sounded like TMO was initially talking about Itoje and they went looking for something to penalise?

Milltown Row2

The TMO is just out of his apprenticeship by the looks of it
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

French lifters were in front of Flament too. 21 point turnaround before that Chessum score.

Game still very much alive but will be hard for England to come back again.

Tony Baloney

Glad to see the Smiths being changed on the tee. Fin left at least 6 kickable points behind.

gallsman

This is ludicrous.

Did he call advantage over after the England scrum penalty? Magical kick from Dupont.

gallsman

England kicking way too much now. Can't keep handing it back to them.

gallsman

Absolutely dying to award that. Ah well. No chance Ramos misses.

Wildweasel74

England kicked the ball away with 90secs to go, where Ireland would done a Munster and just held onto it to the time went out, slack.

gallsman

England had it and couldn't stay composed for the final 90 seconds.

South Africa the biggest winners of the last week.

Tony Baloney

Brutal. Ireland had it on 80 mins! Pollock needed to keep his head after that initial rip. Some brain dead stuff when it needed cool heads.

Mario

I'm a very casual rugby fan but can someone explain to me why the English scrum half kicked that ball back to France with 90 sec left. Why not just bring it into 4 more rucks and get rid
