Is there a venue for this one yet?

For the U20 game ?
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

Wexford 0-14 Antrim 0-10 HT

Wexford down to 14 men since 22 minute

South east radio for the game,

Apparently Sambo's son James McNaughton is having a stormer!

He also said hes a lot slimmer than his da!  ;D  ;D

Anyways Wexford a man down but we've given away some real soft frees which has Wexford in front after us being 5-1 up early doors

Lee Chin with 9 points. Need to shut him down. Wexford with the wind second half. Big second half needed for Antrim now. Blistering start by Antrim then faded slightly.

Saffrongael

Always a strong enough wind in Wexford park blowing down the pitch

We are down a man also with two yellows

Hard to tell on commentary but we are losing the 50/50's and giving up frees a lot

Chin is always going to be a hard man to control in a game, one of the best players of his generation

Deerstalker

Minors beaten today 3-18 to 3-10, so they cannot now qualify, just a dead rubber left. Disappointing

Don't usually listen to the analysis on the Sunday Game but Neil McManus thought Antrim were in the driving seat for large parts of the game, really ?

Whether he should be analysing/commenting on games he is involved in is another matter but he can do much better than that.

Didn't see the game only listened to it on the radio, full biased at that lol, but from that commentary we coughed up a lot of ball be it in the tackle or frees, there sounded like a lot of good catching going on for Wexford too, which gives automatic primary possession, results in frees and opportunities

That said they did say that the ref favoured Wexford for the soft frees.

anyone know when the championship draw is?

Antrim U-20s came up short against Dublin tonight, losing 4-20 to 2-19. Dublin had pulled well ahead in the second half and were 9 up with about 5 to go, Antrim two late goals.

Strange Cormac McKeown didn't start, was very bright when he came on and got one of the goals.

Dublin were just a bit more accomplished and we didn't score for 20 mins after getting the second goal in the first half. It is a young U-20 team who will hopefully learn from it. The tackling and hits was probably something they weren't used to.

Dublin seemed to win so much of the ball when it was in the rucks.

They looked to have several spare men at times - we weren't tight enough. Yeah they were better in the rucks too. McKeown seems the highest up in the pecking order for seniors so you would have thought he would have started.

Some very young players for that level so hopefully be better for it next year.
