Will be another very tough battle don't expect there to be much in it either way. Hope Carey can get over the line after another emotional couple of weeks for the club.

Surprised and happy with the choice of venue - wasn't expecting it!

youd imagine both clubs agreed to a coin toss for a derry or antrim venue

I was hoping for a double header with the senior final to suit all the Granaghan folk.

Great win for Carey. Very happy to see them do the business and make the final.

I would say the choice of Loughgiel for the final will mean a large crowd in attendance from around Antrim to give them additional backing.

Would love to see Carey get over the line and lift an Ulster title.

How is a pitch in Loughgiel going to be playable this weekend?

Dry for the next few days, but heavy rain on Friday and Saturday.

Ulster Council will need a back up plan.

I think it will be needed.

Carey Faughs Ulster champions. Tough game in windy conditions. Got themselves 6 up with the wind then just about defended it, only scoring 2 points in the second half.

Was checking results updates and you feared the worst..

Well done to Carey and Eddie and the rest of the players, they didn't do it the easy way this year

The refereeing in that game was a total and utter disgrace.

What resolve to win.

Same boy done the Cushendall & Slaughneil game and came away with nothing but plaudits from what I seen. I watched both and think he reffed the same in both.

I'm not here to question your view but I think that's a great example of how hard officials get it

Didn't see the game but was he good in the first half?  ;)

First half / Rocket smashed in mouth and his helmet split in two - result / two man ball

As a neutral I felt Peter Owens was poor overall yesterday for both teams.  There was some blatant fouls on both sides (High Tackles, Holding, push in the back when bending to lift etc) that were just seemed to be waved played on.  I understand the conditions weren't great and lads were slipping but on most occasions these fouls were clear as day and in clear view of Peter Owens.  He may have been trying his best to let the game flow but when there are some outrageous fouls being let go it becomes dangerous.

Spot on. If he's going to let it go he has to be consistent, some of the things going on were absolutely scandalous, so Carey started matching it as there was no other option. As you mention the second thing was the danger element - headlocks, high sticks etc.
