St John's very poor and let's face it they will be the 4th favourites to win Antrim next year. Not that they will care.

The Nugent roving keeper is bizarre, he isn't in the shape for it. Nowhere near mobile enough

Antrim

Fair play to St John's for winning the County championship but they won't be winning one again for a long time.

Their supporters cheering Slaughneil's wides when they were 8 down FFS.

Men against boys.

St John's should have had 3 off including Ciaran Johnston. A few stinker tackles.

Chrissy McKeague inside putting manners on them.

To be fair it's been men against boys for most Antrim teams against this S'neil team

Well Dunloy beat them 3 years ago, Cushendall beat them two years ago, and lost AET last year so not really.

They've won 6 with this team, I know teams have beaten them but they are the standard bearers presently with this team, as were Dunloy in their pump loughgiel and Cushendall.

Fair play to him for stepping into goals. No need to get personal

How is that personal?! Saying someone isn't mobile is the same as saying someone isn't fast enough. It's a reasonable observation  ::) If he called him a fat cnut it would be personal.

To be fair, most would have said the same only a couple of months ago.
They have been unlucky not to pip Cushendall previously and it would be no shock if they were to beat them again. Loughgiel are extremely flaky and I wouldn't back them against the Johnnies. Dunloy's fall off trying to manage both codes could still be a thing in 2026.
It's a mistake to judge them in Antrim based on their Ulster challenge. They're brand new to this, coming up against a team that has been operating at this stage for a long time.

Saffrongael

It was evident from early on they hadn't seen that intensity of tackling before, and that's fair enough they hadn't but it was noticeable.

It took Dunloy a couple of years to acclimatise to Slaughneil but I don't think St John's will get another crack at them
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

Nobody thought they would get a crack at them this year either funnily enough

Aye just my opinion but I would take the bet they won't be back
