 ;D

They're in with a good shout here - you could be in trouble  ;D

Loughgiel favourites I imagine- you would think they would win but wouldn't be surprised either way. Long time since johnnies won it.

Good game today between 2 very disciplined teams.  Wouldn't have minded 20mins extra time.  Credit to the ref who let the game flow as best he could.

The fact that no one was attacked after the game either in person or online says it all!

Hard to see St Johns challenging them im the final.

I believe There are 3, one injured. There's  also 4 Glenravel lads on their senior panel.

Quote from: Jesusjones on October 04, 2025, 08:53:08 PMCushendall players hit on the head 4 times. Including 1 player hit on the head off the ball. A point that both umpires called over the bar overruled by a linesman. Ref indicated 3 mins of injury time at the end of normal time, then played 4 mins in which St. John's got the 2 points to force extra time. Officials an absolute disgrace.

Blaming referees and officials doesn't change the result. Every game has tough calls and moments that go either way — that's sport. What is disgraceful is a supporter from your own club striking the referee after the match. That crosses every line and undermines the game we all love. Time to take responsibility instead of throwing stones.

Nonsense. No reports of that anywhere. Was at the game, was on the pitch afterwards, verbals a plenty, but nobody got struck.

Nice to see the Johnnies into the final, as tough as that is to say.

Dunloy finding out just how hard being a dual club is.

Think theres a lot of disingenuous comments about the Johnnies, they are there on merit, they have a good team.

What 4 Glenravel lads?

Comprehensive win by Glenariffe tonight in the refixed semi final with Ahoghill, they started like a train with a strong wind and were up by about 15 at half time. Ahoghill were very poor I thought.

The lights in Ballymena just are not good enough for hurling
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

I thought they were decent? As good as any in the county

Glenariffe were excellent, completely blew Ahoghill away and it was done inside 10 mins tbh. Think they're the best intermediate team in a while but obviously if they finish the job in the final to go along with the league title they'll face a different set of challenges in senior/division 1. I do think they've the best chance of a team to maintain division 1 status in a while.

NorthAntrimSaff

Hard to know how good glenariffe are based on today. Think ahoghill massively underperformed. In saying that oisins used the ball well into space and looked very hungry. TNN id imagine will bring a lot of intensity to the final but I think Glenariffe will have more firepower to win in the end

I think they possibly could establish themselves as a division 1 side but may need some help. Id imagine one or two could possibly be invited onto a county panel plus 2 or 3 others onto an u20 panel. Will hurt the chance of early league points

Nobody has mentioned the good job that Kevin Parke and his officials did on Sunday. Have to give credit where it's due.
