Quote from: JimStynes on March 25, 2026, 08:33:34 PMRangers have another £16m put into the club. They're getting their shit together and Celtic are in free fall because of the owners who are asleep at the wheel ffs.
No, Rangers have said they plan on issuing £16M of new shares. Assuming they get that £16m, that is 8% of the club being sold to pay for transfers above what they can afford.

I'd rather a board to be asleep than diluting ownership for short term spending

Right i obviously didn't understand that. The other crowd seem delighted though and if it's more money into transfers we are fucked. When is the last time Celtic finished 3rd?

1990/91.

I'm far from happy, but if the huns are too thick to realise pawning the family silver to put themselves in a worse financial situation isn't a good idea that is on them.

Celtic looking more and more like a bargain basement team. I hope the directors are pleased.

Very hard to see Celtic winning the title at this stage, every game is a firefighting session. Alaistair J must be near ready to come back?? Need some sort of boost

Got the win in the end but that is a very poor Celtic side.

Look-Up!

Very poor defensively which will be a problem but on the other hand take Rogers and Nancy games out of it and probably would be poised to see it out ok. But it's a game of momentum and firefighting would be a good way to describe run in, O'Neill factor aside.

If they win the league, very much so.

Think he suffered a relapse whilst out in Canada in the break.

The only reason Celtic are still in this are the following 2 factors...MON is the first and the second is the 2 teams above Celtic are just as bad.
MON is getting a tune outta some terrible rank rotten footballers and it's not easy on the eye either, terrible to watch and just scraping by game by game. 4 games at home now from last 6 which is another few % in Celtic's favour. This is going down to last game of the season. I have just gambled not knowing the fixture list and booked flights for last game of the season. It is rumoured to be Hearts at home in last game but I lost a few flights last year gambling on dates but it's my risk.
Sevco (who are playing slightly better than Celtic) are my favourites to win it but they're not good either. If you can take them outta Ibrox they'll drop points and Hearts too are dodgy away from home, they both have more away fixtures coming up than at home so that will test them.
I suppose the football is crap but everyone is getting the drama and excitement they craved from the title run in.

I see Rangers could get straight into the Champions League group stages next season if obviously, they win league AND results in other European countries go their way. This would be a complete embarrassment for Celtic.

Regardless of current league games and closeness of title race, there are a lot of fans who are not mentioning the Board nowadays. They are getting off the hook. They have been a total shambles this past few years.

They got caught during Covid/10 in a row season. Didn't spent the cash thinging they'd cruise to another title and fell asleep at the wheel. An epic failure. Regardless of how things go this season, it's another epic failure of huge proportions.

Simply put,  the Board, Nicholson and Hargreaves etc. need to go. League title or no league title.

Plus the whole squad needs gutted. 3/4 of them are not good enough. Simple as.  Even look at the 'signings' brought in at January. None of them has made an impact. Not sure who brought them in but most of them are not even in the match day panel. Let that sink in.

How O'Neill starts with that lad Tomas up top. He's brutal. Got lucky on Sunday past with a late winner. He had 3 clear cut chances and couldn't hit a barn door.

Green Brigade back too. As much as I think they're up their own arses they could genuinely make a positive difference in the run in.

No doubt in that, a lot of we Neds around 16-19 who think they own the place. In saying all that they do bring atmosphere to the place and they will add a few more % to our game. GB back, fixtures suit, can't have any complaints now, if they don't win it from this position then they've no one to blame only themselves. I know the Board have shafted us but with 6 games to go it's now down to the players...

None of the 3 teams have any real momentum but I think Celtic have the most going for them, MON´s experience, the timely return of the Green Brigade (Neds nothwithstanding), the 6 game schedule, MON's more than decent record away v Rangers and Hearts and now they are both at CP with a diminished away support.

Injured players are not yet coming back and instead there's an immediate right back crisis with 3 first choices out and that may well be the case for the rest of the season, Could Sarachi go RB and Scales to replace Tierney on the hours at LB? I think Cvancara will still lead the line with Iheanacho coming on to replace if/when needed.
