But he was cheap, so there is that. Plus he was cheap.

All of this is on Desmond and the board. Complete cowboys.

This is Covid year all over again. Same pattern from the transfer windows just before.

I hope fans boycott now the club, matches and shop etc. Give Lawell and them clowns not a penny more. Be good to write this season off if these frauds get the boot.

They blame Rogers, the GB and Celtic Fan Media...everybody but themselves.

Then we have that muppet Tisdale falling alseep at the recent home game V Hearts. He's the man who 'sourced' Nancy.

I don't apportion much blame to Nancy but today, after losing badly with his formation, should have went for 4 at the back. Just do the simple thing, play safe and go back to a simple back 4. But he didn't so he must take flak for that today.

The players also must take a large percentage of flack. They showed, not for the first time this season, no heart or bottle. Embrrassing. Seriously, how do they pick up their pay packet this week?

Fair play to Robinson and St. Mirren. They deserved it thoroughly. Won it well so congrats to them. They were agressive, work hard and hit on the break.

Chris Sutton tweet:

I feel for Wilfried Nancy he is trying to implement a style but his problem is he has overestimated the level of player at the club right now. To play the way he wants takes tactical intelligence and flexibility and good decision making something this group of players lack...

I'd agree with this. Reminds of BR in Europe, away to Barca or someone and think you're going to play them of the park. Not dealing in reality!!

Bad thing is. It's gonna get worse. We have rangers on Jan 3rd. We aren't winning g that one. They could be ahead of us after that game. If not before. WTF has happened

They were mentioning Dean Smith on 5Live.

I'm assuming he would cost a fair bit more than Wilfred Nancy?

You can't fire the man after a week of games. They knew his ideas before they hired him (mid-season) and one would assume he laid out that he was going to change tactics and formation.

I guess from his perspective it might not be too bad if they did sack him as he'd get a good payout and would attract offers back in MLS after making a fair argument that he wasn't given a fair shake.

This could seriously end up going very badly and end up finishing behind Rangers and Hearts. They look totally hopeless. I don't understand why he just doesn't do the same thing Martin O'Neill did and steady the ship and at least being competitive with teams and playing for each other. He's trying to persist with these tactics that clearly aren't working! Did Martin O'Neill want to stay? If he did then it's absolute madness letting him go after he has turned the whole thing around in a month.
Can't wait for the Gaelic football to start back ffs

Slot kept things simple when he took over, it's a better way to get some stability but the 11 players on the pitch had the chance regardless to win that game.. managers can get it wrong but that was the first chance of a trophy this season
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Fake it til ye make it catching up with the board

It must be weirdly awful living in a world where anything other than complete success is absolute failure. A place where 4 titles in a row is sack the board territory.

Or maybe it's just a crutch you folks need in life... ie in a tough and unpredictable world your one constant pleasure is that Celtic win every week.

The entitlement is incredible. Losing to a top 4 Serie A team caused a mass walk out before half time last week.
I don't know what they expect. Do they think Scottish football is on a par with Italian?

if you think it is h=just the losing then there isnt much more can be said to you

Here's how I see it as someone with genuinely no axe to wield or cross to bear.

Celtic fans would like to follow a club that's capable of attracting top tier talent, top drawer managers, and delivering European success.

(The more vocal) Celtic fans are simultaneously unaware that the club currently  exists in a paradox.

This paradox being that the only way the interest of the general (worldwide) public in Scottish football will increase, is if it becomes more competitive. And when people aren't interested, sponsors aren't interested. And when sponsors aren't interested, the media aren't interested. And if the media aren't interested, the higher strand of players and managers from other nations won't be interested. Then sponsorship declines further. Then media declines further. That's the circle of descent Scottish football has been on for 30 years.

(the more vocal) Celtic fans seem to believe the opposite is true i.e. that if their board sloshes PL type money around then the domino effect of that would be that other high level players would come on board, suffer living in a dirty and cold city, join in on a 40 week procession through domestic competitions, then come alive on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Autumn and Spring. And if those players can't do this, then move them on at a loss and bring in even more expensive ones. Rinse and repeat. Spend more, earn more. You know, the strategy that took Rangers apart.

I'm not saying (the more vocal) Celtic fans are deluded. But I do get the sense that their board of directors are actually aware that this paradox exists.
