There's a realistic chance that Celtic will have a ban imposed on away fans attending the game in Munich due the antics of some brick for brains fans who threw a smoke bomb onto Villa's pitch.

I'm waiting Celtic. As it stands, we're a striker and a left back down on where we started the window. Gained a much needed winger but I think we're in a worse place than we started it.

Didn't even bother looking who Celtic were 'interested' in yesterday evening.

Knew they'd leave it last minute and get a vesatile loan.

Rogers knew a good few months ago that Kyogo was leaving. Disappointed but not surprised.

As SS says above. Weaker now than before.

Either big Idah is turning it on in training or the board have misplaced the cheque book. It's disappointing not to get a striker but good to offload some duds. Jota and Schlupp in, two very good signings.

You lot are 10pts clear, with a game in hand.. Get away with your fake "concern". Fooling no-one.

Hopefully Kyogo's departure will be the making of Idah
Careful now

Some belting goals at Paradise this evening.

Big boost for Celtic with Maeda winning his appeal against the two matches ban but if we're honest, we need a lot more than that.

Id like to see a pragmatic approach from Rodgers tonight. Lots of hard workers and try to not let this get ugly. I don't see a possibility of us coming through two legs against Bayern so it would at least be nice to not get embarrassed.

Dortmund aside we've been okay in Europe this year but Rodgers has had some poundings in Europe so hope it's not another one.

While Celtic have no chance of winning the competition I feel they have one great round in them, definitely need a pragmatic approach and a bit of luck here and there, the thing that gives me a bit of hope there's a path through is Vincent Kompany, his teams are eminently beatable - it'll be a throwback to knocking Barca out of Europe years ago if they pull it off

I'd say if Celtic won this one it would be a much bigger result than beating Barca. That was a great Barca team and they went onto win the Champions League a year or two later but back then Celtic were competitive in Europe. That game came maybe 9 months after Celtic had reached the UEFA Cup final losing in extra time to Mourinho's Porto who went on to win the Champions League the next year. Celtic were beating all the big teams at Paradise back then. It's been a long time since Celtic beat one of the leading contenders.

Would expect Celtic to be competitive tonight, the atmosphere should be electric and wouldn't be surprised if they got a result tonight, can't see them winning over the two legs though.

Munich will dominate the ball, that's a given. I actually think Celtic can follow the blueprint that Villa set v Munich earlier in the year. Be patient and compact.  Try to restrict decent chances. Be fast, intense and aggressive on your opportunities to attack and try to cause their centre halfs problems.

A lot of things have to go right, but we've seen this happen at Celtic Park before.

Love the optimism but I'm thinking Par is about 3-0.
