Huge weight of history on Hearts and they will be praying/half expecting Celtic drop points. An emphatic win v Rangers would seriously put the wind up Hearts whether they admit it or not. No gimmies for them from here on in.

Not sure where the confidence is coming from for an emphatic win at the weekend, anything I have seen of  them of late is not positive. Some of the football is turgid and hard to see where they will even get a goal from at times.

Obviously posting with the hope of being wrong  ;D

Hearts away to Motherwell is a big one and a game that they can certainly drop points in. In fact looking at Hearts away record recently I will not be surprised if Motherwell were to beat them or at least geta draw. Can you imagine the atmosphere going into Sunday's derby with Hearts dropping points on the night before...Would be some buzz and I can't wait for the game, I've booked both Rangers and Hearts games so somethong to look forward too.
As for thumping Rangers...The optimist in me will say we can pump them 3-0 and boost our scoring difference but the reality will be a 2-1 grind with a possible injury time winner (if we are to win at all).

The 3 title contenders haven't all bagged a win on the same weekend this year, plenty of points to be dropped yet, Rangers cooked thankfully, and may their next financial catastrophe be as ugly as the last

Hearts are favourites but not by much. I've seen too many  titles lost and won on the last day. Motherwell still have to copper fasten their Euro Conf place and are a better team than Hearts.

Both Motherwell and Falkirk should be looking to make advances next season in the Conference league to the knock out stages and pick up anything from Eur7m - 10m. If teams from the LOI, The Faroe Islands and Iceland can manage it why not those two.

I admire the optimism on here but Motherwell's recent form has been shocking. Their last league win before beating the Huns last weekend was February. Sevco are also at their most dangerous when they've nothing to play for.

They all won on 11/12th April

Big Steven Welsh will have Motherwell fired up for the match against Hearts at least. Big lad has done more to help Celtic since leaving in January than any of the lads Celtic brought in in January.

Yeah, agreed they had a poor run of form up to last weekend. Go and have a look at Hearts last 6 away games and see their form (W2-D1-L3).

Any win at this stage would be emphatic  ;D . But I suppose emphatic would be a comfortable 2 goal victory where Rangers pose feck all threat. They've blown the league so might hopefully be flat. I know it's the derby and fans will want to f**k Celtic's bid too but foreign players don't always buy into that. A lot of them might be pissed off and mentally checked out.

The Huns have Champions League football to play for. Disabuse yourself of any notion they will put their feet up

To Joe, shocking isn't a word I'd use to describe Motherwell's form of late, they peed on Rangers at Ibrox, have reversed their recent surprise loss v Falkirk and imo  before those two games should at least have come away with a draw at Hearts. That's their form going into this game.

MON could be accused of sabotaging the team to some extent with his selections and tactics. Why has Hatate been gaslit since that woeful loss to v D utd?  Nygryn hasn't done anything of note since feb except to pick up award trophies. And why no Sarrachi? Playing Maeda up front and switching him out to the left when Kelechi comes on  so far has worked, but it works better when Sarrachi come on. defenses are at 6s&7s

Hatate has had about 2 decent games all year yet every time he doesnt play his reputation is enhanced. Fact is Celtic squad is poor and imo MON is getting every ounce out of them.

Well Celtic fans that have watched the games that Hatate has been played in since MON returned would beg to differ and dismay as to why he has been excluded in preference to Nygryn and McCowan is widespread.

And when he was playing, questioning why was widespread also.

You can take what you want from fans reviews, I take what I see on the pitch. Go and read any forum now and the general consensus is bewilderment as to why he is behind Nygryn (offers nothing) and McCowan ((generally useless)  and reflect just how he changed the 2 games v Rangers at Ibrox, back to his old self.

How did Scales and Mc Cowan get new contracts recently? That's baffling.

I still wouldn't like to call a league winner but stripping all the 'excitement run in' back, this is the worst Celtic panel in 40 years. And they can STILL do a league and cup double.

Think of that. How bad is the SPL collectively?
