What a game of football yesterday, probably the worst standard of football I've ever witnessed. Rangers couldn't beat that Celtic team say it all, the lack of quality is alarming. There a lad came on for Celtic "Mvuka" who if he turned up at the local park for a game wouldn't get picked and i'm talking about jumpers for goal posts here...SHOCKING.
As for the aftermath...Celtic fans did trash their stand and did spill out onto the pitch which is unacceptable and it's really difficult to stamp out them wee neds from society as they're everywhere, Celtic will hammer them and you will not see the Green Brigade back at CP.
As for the Sevco support...they invaded the pitch to attack and fight and was the only thought on their minds, the attacked Celtic staff and players and ran the full length of the pitch to confront and fight. There is a vast difference in what happened but the picture painted this morning is it all came from Celtic and followed by Rangers...Is that how you all seen it or have i the green tinted glasses on.

You have the green tinted glasses on Im afraid.
Away end was wrecked, it'll cost a fortune to paint over the "66 mushy peas" grafatti everywhere.
Both clubs need to take a zero policy to this crap and hand out bans.

Congratulations on the game.

I would say you have described the trouble at the end accurately. It did look to me that the Celtic fans coming onto the pitch was good natured (no intention of attacking opposition) but not sure you could expect Rangers fans to think that. It was the reaction of the home support in coming onto the pitch and approaching the away end which made it into a violent incident.
The coverage will however reflect damage in the away end and that Celtic fans started the trouble by coming onto the pitch. Blame will need to be spread evenly and we will blame them uns whilst they blame us abdicating everyone of responsibility.
One lesson to learn is that supporters should not be permitted to wear balaclavas at games.

No one deserves congratulations from that game (maybe Trusty) as there wasn't a lot of quality in it, but was still very happy Celtic got through.

"Celtic fans did trash their stand "

"trashing"  is a tad 'hyperbolic'

Is this the x rated evidence?

Some seats buckled and a boundary barrier of sorts gave way under pressure. The graffiti can be removed with a good scrub (check out you tube  for a diy video) and then finished with a few liters of paint.

Some level of hatred that. Jees! Seems to be a soccer thing, same in England fans spend half the game goading opposition supporters about tragedies. Sick. Why hate someone because they support another team? I get there's a whole sectarian thing but while I'm happy to see Rangers beat.. hatred? Jees!

The graffiti is appalling, hate to see that shite. It's imbecillic behaviour to go an wreck the stand, the case for permanently banning away fans will be easily made. And pearl clutching aside remember it wasn't really wrecking the stadia that got the ban in place in the first place, it was morseo because Rangers were so shite they were trying to squeeze whatever advantages they could out of the home fixture.

Where is the wrecked stand evidence?  Did you even have a peep at the link I posted?
Is this an Armagh thing?  seeing as you along with  illdecide  refuse to look for evidence first before posting nonsense ::)

There is 4 photos, would need to see more, but as you say, not a word would have been said about that damage in the photos at Parkhead, not a peep ::)
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

The bigger question is why are you defending / excusing sc**bag behaviour? Is it a Monaghan thing?

SaffronSports

Damage to the stand and repairs will be paid for by Celtic. Thats how these things have always been dealt with. Stupid bastards will be stupid bastards.

The real issues imo are the lad who got bingoed in the far corner, one of the Marvel characters punching the steward and the lad attacking the Celtic staff member. Rest of it was hold me back pish.

Peelers have to take a look at themselves too, nowhere to be seen until well after the pens. Normally youll see them a few mins before a game ends.

Well i clearly did point out Celtic fans trashed their stand and went onto the pitch to celebrate which is not allowed so a clear breach of the rules.
I just can't get into my head why people are comparing like for like when Celtic fans with the euphoria of winning ran onto the pitch to celebrate in the heat of the moment and get selfies with players is the same as Sevco leaving their end and running the full length of the pitch masked up looking for a fight...How is that the same?. (not directed at you REDhand)
I go the games and I can see Celtic have their fair share of wee pricks in their support so it's not just them'uns but in this case there is a clear difference...The video shows the line of Police around the 18 yard box and Sevco fans at the Police throwing fireworks into Celtic fans at the Celtic end...does it need any further words?.

You seem to be missing the point that running onto the pitch has escalated the situation. Why not celebrate in the stands with your fellow supporters? Why did they need to run onto the pitch? The behaviour from the Rangers supporters was unacceptable also and both clubs should be punished accordingly.  A shame for supporters on both sides who are genuine football fans that there likely be no away fans at either game as adds to the atmosphere.

tonto1888

Fans have ran onto pitches to celebrate last minute winners etc for many years and nothing like Sunday happened. Celtic fans have done it many times. So have fans from other clubs. What made Sunday different

Can't recall too many games in the Premier League where fans have ran onto the pitch in big derbies in the recent past? If Celtic have done it many times, then perhaps the issue should have been addressed earlier with their fan base? Players coming onto the pitch is wrong and can cause issues, you don't know what type of headbanger is being allowed onto the pitch. (Them not knowing that running onto the pitch isn't appropriate conduct would already raise the question as to how sane the individual is)

Given the obvious hatred between the two teams and their respective fanbases it was obviously going to antagonise Rangers supporters, who's behaviour also left alot to be desired.

Would the Celtic supporters have ran onto the pitch if they beat Hearts/Hibs/Aberdeen on penalties, I would highly doubt it.
