Fallen off a cliff since giving Bayern a good rattle 6 months ago, letting Kyogo leave and refusing to replace him shows the total lack of ambition, the desire wasn't there at board level to beat Bayern and its filtered down

Beat at the weekend and there'll be murder on the dancefloor

And will the long flight be an excuse?

How many people here gathered potatoes all day then played a match in the evening? Or stooked hay, or cleaned out a calf house, or bruised barley etc etc

Brutal werent they?  And the other team were actually worse. It was a hard watch, and even the biggest football lover wouldnt have been excite by an extra half hour of that tripe.

Never seen as many balls bounce off a striker before than Idah. Plus celtic kept lumping long straight balls to him.  How many set pieces do you have to make a balls of (Engels) before changing the taker?

Dont worry though, as last night will be long forgotten when Celtic stroll to an easy league win with no team to challenge them.  The fans will think the players are good again and the board will think why the need to invest.  The cycle will continue.

Manys a time! They can make all the excuses they want but this is down to a lack of quality.

Bayern and Celtic are worlds apart financially that was a serious effort to make that game competitive last year. It is highly unrealistic that they be expected to beat Bayern given the financial backing both sides have and the relative performances in Europe over last 10/15 years.

In the same round PSV beat Juve, Brugge beat Atalanta, Feyenoord beat Milan

Celtic sold their main striker before the Bayern game and didn't replace him, the game was there to be won and the culture of being happy to participate at CL level paid itself back in spades, rinse and repeat cycle for Celtic which saw another embarrassing exit at qualification stage, a recurring theme the last 15 years, there's a self imposed glass ceiling in the CL

I actually text a mate during the game last night and said "It's actually a sin to put any of them two teams into the CL", I get worked up watching Celtic and I don't know why as I'm usually quite calm and don't get like that when at a GAA match. I was gonna put my boot thru the TV last night watching that, utter garbage and standard wise if that wasn't your team playing you'd turn the channel over. How can a paid professional be that bad?.

I think the Celtic Board and BR are at fault here, the Board with no investment, no ambition and a shower. BR starting the wrong team and anyone can do that but waiting too long to make changes...that team would never have scored last night so throw the young hungry lads on...Kenny is better than Idah, Hatate was rank and stayed on far too long. Don't even start me on Yang...swear ta f**k. Forrest is someone to bring on for last 10-15 mins in some games. Surprising the whole lot was KT...he looked like someone we pulled in from the stands, what was that all about. Mcgregor and Nygren were rotten and CCV should be embarrassed by that performance and an even bigger redner taking his pay packet.

Lastly Maeda...what can i say. The man that emptied the tank every game and ran himself ragged looks like he's thrown the towel in...Christ

Scottish league football at its lowest ebb at the moment? Yesterday Celtic knocked out of Europe against a team from Kazakhstan and didn't score against them over two legs and tonight Rangers hammered 6-0 (9-1 on AGG) against Club Brugge.

The frustration at the Celtic board is fully justified given the lack of ambition over the last decade, but the blame for this result falls entirely to Brendan Rodgers. Yes a few signings would be nice but Celtic should be winning that game with their eyes closed with the players already in the dressing room.

I would think so. It's hard to defend the standard at present.

I am not even sure they should be winning it handy. Celtic's list of players are mediocre at best.

Jes i thought Celtic had another qualifying round against better opposition if they came through this week, they only had to beat the Kazak champions to reach a huge cash bonanza and glamorous fixtures but fucked it, that is gross incompetence - board manager players every one of them

He spent 9m on Idah. Would you give him 50m more?
