I would give to it, as long as it wasn't a foreigner collecting for it.

Sport against racism ireland.
I gave to them, I gave to a lot of bucket weilding charities - ataxia nervosa, cancer, Irish wheelchair association
But I agree that these buckets are quite possibly open to abuse.

I dislike the door to do types too that try to get you to sign up to various good causes - no way will I give my bank details out and have on occassion given a few quid to people collecting.

However a lot of the time more recently I say I have no money on me or that I am just broke - esp when the charity looks like it could be 'dodgy'

I never give or buy anything at the door. I won't have other people deciding what charities I'll give to. I can make up my own mind about that and do it myself without anyone asking me. I just tell them I don't give at the door.

And as for people coming to the door offering to sell me pictures or furniture or ornaments or whatever, do they not understand that I'd know myself if I wanted any of these things and would go and get them instead of sitting in the house wondering would someone bring them around to the door at random?

That is Ziggy, the hybrid computer from the television series Quantum Leap. Not to be confused with the handlink.
