Is it cheaper to buy stuff in Spain e.g. suncream and shampoo etc. or bring it with you.

Or any good tips?
It can be. The tourist shops, hotels and 'non local' pharmacies will cost more. Go to where the locals shop and much cheaper. Easier said than done in a resort town.

To be honest I'd bring it with you. I'd an ordeal last year trying to buy sun cream for under 15 euro. Fiver in Lidl at home.

Where were you paying 15e for it in Spain? That's daft. Any Lidl/Aldi/Carrefour sell it for 5-6e.

To go back to Marty's question, shampoo etc much of a muchness. Suncream significantly cheaper here.

Ok. Thanks for the update lads.

Where is the nearest Lidl to somewhere like Playa de America or Magaluf?

I figured you might have bothered to actually look that up before deciding to be a snarky p***k.

A quick check for Magaluf shows there is both an Aldi and a Lidl in Magaluf itself, so when you ask where the "nearest one to Magaluf" is, are you allowed include those ones?

A 20 minute walk to and from the front. Up to him if it's worth an hour to save a fiver.

The point remains, you can of course get stuff like that but like everything if it's hassle free it's expensive

I figured that if he was asking the question in advance, he didn't plan on landing down to the beach only to be outraged that there's not an Aldi built on top the sand where he could instantly avail of fairly priced suncream.

Again, a quick Google suggests the Aldi is an 8 minute walk a from the main beach in Magaluf, not 20. People on holidays are also, believe it or not, known to have bought other things in supermarkets than sun cream. I also didn't realise that, say, Magaluf is representative every single Spanish destination he might conceivably be visiting.

Apologies for trying to help a lad out with a bit of local insider knowledge and perspective.

Only for the attention or concern of those who might actually be interested of course, as opposed to pass remarkable twats.
