If that is the team we are playing we will be beaten all ends up no worries.

However I will reserve final judgment until I see an official team announcement.

You'd be better advised to reserve judgment until the team lines out for the throw in!

i NEVER said that the tam i named was the starting team i said its the team that will be named for the programme.

Sh*t I better give Mickey a ring to see what time I need to be there at.
Hope the boots aren't too mouldy or hard

Do we bring our own socks and shorts?
Might bring the tracksuit bottoms as mightn't start although would prefer to start and get pulled off at half time.

Shit, the Derry lads only get a cup of tae...

From the Irish Times:

Tyrone unchanged for Ulster semi-final

GAA news round-up : Brian Dooher will have to settle for a place on the bench when All-Ireland champions Tryone take on Derry this weekend. Despite overcoming a groin injury, the Tyrone captain has not been named in the starting line-up for Sunday's clash at Casement Park.

Dooher was sprung from the bench against Armagh and will expect to play some part against Derry but manager Mickey Harte has named an unchanged side for the Ulster semi-final.

Derry are due to announce their side tomorrow evening.

In disciplinary news, Tommy Freeman's appeal against an eight week suspension was upheld at a hearing of the Central Appeals Committee (CAC) last night.

The Monaghan forward was initially handed the sanction following an incident in the Ulster football quarter-final against Derry on May 24th.

Freeman's case will now be sent back to the Central Hearings Committee (CHC) for "reprocessing".

"At a meeting of the Central Appeals Committee held in Croke Park last night, an appeal from Tommy Freeman (Monaghan) was heard," explained a GAA statement this afternoon.

"The appeal as submitted by Monaghan was upheld. The Central Appeals Committee decided to refer the case back to the Central Hearings Committee for reprocessing."

Derry's Fergal Doherty and Brian Mullan have already had their proposed eight-week bans, arising from the same bad tempered match, halved on appeal by the CHC.

Tyrone (SF v Armagh): J Devine; PJ Quinn, Justin McMahon, R McMenamin; D Harte, C Gormley, P Jordan; K Hughes, E McGinley, M Penrose, T McGuigan, Joe McMahon, S O'Neill, S Cavanagh, O Mulligan.

what are the chances of the named team starting on Sunday? I would say only doubts would be penrose and to a lesser extent tommy holding their place

Fuzzman

Last year Mickey named an unchanged team several times & I wouldn't be surprised if that team lined out on Sunday
I was hoping Brian Mac would get a start or McCullagh

As the papers are saying this could be quite the tactical battle but I just hope it doesn't become a defensive game of chess.

the sledger

stories circulating around derry, that now mc cusker is not starting, due to a lack of fitness and now mc cloy is also out.
this will really leave derry and we will probably see the real mettle of this derry side and the tactical approach of damien cassidy will also be very interesting

with sources inside the derry panel the team that ive been told is

gillis
mc guckian sml gerad o kane
paul cartin chrissy mc kaigue sl mc goldrick
mc goldrick diver
lynn murphy brown
bradley bradley lynch

so with all the injuries that derry have, it is still a fairly strong side, and should they enter with the right mentality, they will put it up to tyrone

the green man

I heard the team tonight sledger, and its nothing like yours. Someones telling fibs

ONeill

Happy enough. It's all going too well for Tyrone in the build-up. Tomorrow we'll be told Cassidy's distraught at one of his dogs going missing.

Something's going to give. I still think the solstice will have a part to play in this.

Cavanagh to roam outfield?
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Aaron Boone

Martien Penrose always has a flyer after a stinker.
He could be man of the match on Sunday. It's give & take with the man from the Donegal border.

Lads, is this a ticket only affair or what's the craic?

I think Cas is going to go for throat on sunday ..... ATTACK!

Mickey usually goes with the 15 players he names, maybe not in the same position right enough. As a certain P. Canavan reported recently we would want a big improvement in the HF line. Let's be honest Armagh were absolutely useless and we did our best to keep them in the game, massive improvement required or we'll be playing Kerry in next game!

While I hope I'm wrong, all the signs are pointing to that this is going to be the furthest thing from pretty. Kinneavy games are usually start-stop with loads of fouls, bookings and tend to turn negative very quickly. This coupled with the talk of both Cassidy and Harte about winning and not entertaining being all important doesn't fill me with optimism.
