Can't argue with much of that Exiled Gael.  Tyrone were vastly superior in my eyes.  Too many times Derry players got the ball within the Tyrone 45 and turned round in fear/cluelessness instead of trying to draw a foul although the Tyrone defence is very lean to be fair!
Skinner still looks for Paddy too much even with 3 men around him and other players one on one with their man.  It was all a bit predictable to be honest.
McMenamin's a sc**bag, plain and simple.  If Bradley had landed one on him, he'd have been the worst in the world and he has to be commended for not raising a fist.
Cork look like the only team which could give Tyrone a game at this stage of the year!

Personally I'd far rather see the DRA or CCCCC charge someone like McMenanmin for that action than what Freeman/Doherty did.

There's no reason why he couldn't be charged with taking the game into disrepute either.

Watching the coverage on RTE here - The commentators are really talking Tyrone up.

Very dangerous talk !!!

Cassidy's management needs to be assessed at this stage ... I'm not saying he needs to go or anything - but you have to ask some questions.

Would it not have been wiser to wait until the Conway thing was handled separately before dropping him? Would Conway not have done a decent job there for a half?
Why persist with Murphy? A great club player but overweight and slow - never full 70 in him.
Why have they so many injuries? What kind of training is being done? McCloy, Bradley, McCusker etc
Tyrone have some but all are coming right just now.
What is up with Paddy Bradley? Injured? Tired? Overtrained?
Would Conleith Gilligan not have offered something there today for 30 mins? Settle the ship? Small bit of guile?
Is the style of play suiting them? Do Derry noy play better with 15 bigger men in position than trying to play the running game?

I don't know if these are the right questions and maybe it was just a bad day, Monaghan aren't going anywhere and are an average upstart of a team .... however I suspect there are issues there that need addressing.

Derry have the talent, the players are there. They just need to be let play football. Too much goes into tactics and trying to stop a team from playing. Best to go out and let your players play to their strengths and not be there to stop your opposition playing. Also good to have a good work ethic and well disciplined team.

This

QuoteRyan McMenamin should be ashamed of the way he reacted after Bradley was dispossessed. Tyrone broke up the field and scored, McMenamin was 20 yards at least from Bradley, still lying on the ground and he strided over celebrating and shouting in Paddy's face. Don't know how he didn't punch him as that's all he wanted. Eoin Bradley also dropped the knee on a Tyrone player in the same original incident.

Lets be honest cassidy has not got a clue. As a manager you have to be able to deal with players on and off the field. He has made a complete mess of things over this last couple of weeks and then today the team was headless. What about all these game plans he has talked about with the media. Would he or any of the rest of the management team inspire you to give all. Not good enough Full Stop.

Outclassed and outplayed today hands down. We have nowhere near as strong a panel as Tyrone and even some guaranteed starters looked out of their depth today.

We played right into Tyrone hands everytime Skinner got a free at HF he looked for Paddy who had 2 men on him yet Seamus Bradley was 1 on 1 the other side.

Only men who stood up were SML, Diver and GOK. Not good enough by a long shot. We had better hope for a decent draw in the Qualifiers as that was a big blow to the team. I thought we were close but on today evidence we are a long way away. Tyrone were never out of 2nd hear all day!

Cassidy obviously inspired you because your only previous post was last week when you were saying that you had belief that Derry would get a result!!!
